BELRICH Theatre was a small building, with brick, and wood foundation, located in the centre of a small town, an hour away from the nearest city. There wasn't a single person within the state didn't know it's name. It is incredibly known for theater, drama, and it's plays. It's seen amateur comedians, even before they became comedians, or comedians, looking to share their stories , and some names, big, and small passing through to entertain.

I was there as a patron, with a group of girlfriends, to see Jester's Mask. A new play made by a director's assistant. The pamphlet mysteriously didn't have a description what it was about, but I could only guess it was good.

We were fortunate enough to buy the early bird tickets, months ahead, and reserve some front row seats/ even more so to organise outfits ahead of time, and held spots in line, with tickets in hand. Everyone was directed into the room with the bar, and merchandise stand. A chance for people to have something to drink, and mingle among the other patrons. I mostly kept to myself, watching the people around me. Holding a glass of nice wine, swirl liquid inside, watching the bubbles rush to the surface to pop, and repeat.

Thirty minutes later, everyone was directed to enter the theatre, and informed everyone to take their seats. I sat down on the crimson, soft seating in front row, closest to the stage. The lights dimmed down, until I barely see anyone's face. The orchestra sat down, preparing for the opening act.

Fifteen minutes in, a figure of a man wearing black trousers, black vest, red tie, and leather shoes, with a jester's mask, likely obscurring his features from view. It must be one of the the main characters in the play.

As I watched, he juggled some balls in one hand, facing another actor, suddenly, he tripped over his feet, catching himself, the balls tumbling from his hands onto the stage. His black hair moved. The crowd burst into laughter at comedy, but for some reason, I noticed a stray shoelace had come loose on his left shoe, hence why he nearly tripped. It was a mistake. When I looked up, met the eye's of the masked joker, steel blue eyes gaze into my own. The world fell away until it was just us. The next, he diverted his eyes, collecting himself, and presumed to fall back into character. It was a short moment, but eyes remained in mind.

Even at the end of the play. It was incredible beyond words, enough to keep the good humor going. The actor's steel eyes still haunted me til the moment I fell asleep.
