"Hmm, something's missing." A young woman murmurs and puts a hand on her chin, her blue eyes looking around the large hall, filled with tables, and chairs on one side of the room, with nice flower arrangements, the middle of the room was bare except for a wooden floorboards polished to shine, and a small stage, soon to have a DJ booth, music equipment and microphone stand, and confetti sprung up along the walls with balloon with a big 21st on it.
Another girl with ginger hair, shook her head at her friend, she wore a nice bright blue dress, with a white cardigan, and flats. There as moral support and provide party planning.
"Dianne, relax. Everything's perfect for the party." Chelsea said. Dianne shook her head from side to side, her eyebrows creasing inwards. "Turn that frown upside down before you get wrinkles. ." Her friend was right, she always was, but for some reason, the answer was right in front of her, but couldn't put her finger on it. Definitely one thing absent.
"No, I'm certain something's missing but can't figure it out."
Chelsea pinched her nose, and sighed. When Dianne was like this, there was no stopping her from worrying, but luckily she though to send a text to certain someone, hoped they'd be able set her mind at ease. Chelsea stepped in front of Dianne, with hands on her hips and serious look.
"okay, if you're sure missing something. I'll ask some questions." Dianne only nodded.
"Music?"
"Hired a Dj for the night with some song requests."
"Food?"
"Mother has asked a friend to help prep tonight's menu in the kitchen and hired some people wait staff."
"Invitations?"
"Sent out a month or so ago, and received reservations."
"Outfit?"
"Waiting in protective case in the car."
"Decorations?"
"All set up."
Sound of door opening and closing, sound of footsteps cross the room, felt someone placed their strong but gentle hands on her shoulders from behind, and familiar voice answer.
"People. Only need the guests." Everything clicked together. That was it. Couldn't have a party without guests to celebrate with. She turned around to meet familiar pair of emerald eyes and smile greet her. It was Tristian. her boyfriend. She smiled back, greeting him and pulled him into a hug, he twirled her around and laughed. Didn't know he's be able to make it tonight. But it turned out his boss had decided to be generous to let employee leave early to be with his girl on her special night and brought a gift. Bouquet of flowers and a bracelet with a dog charm. Her favorite animal.
Tonight all people she knew would be here and celebrate her big 21st. And this time, be able to dance the night away with her beloved boyfriend, Tritian. She's luckiest girl in the world.
