Dear anyone who so happens to find this, please, do not read any further.
''It's enchanting, isn't it?''
Those words were all it took. Enough for my whole life to change. Enough for other people's lives to change, too, both for good and for worse. And that little sentence resulted in me writing this... Story? Anecdote? Memoir? I have no clue as to what I would call whatever this is. It is simply me reminiscing about how I met the love of my life, lost a whole lot, gained a whole lot, to eventually - well... let's leave it at that for now. I know better than to spoil curiosity.
I couldn't fall asleep tonight, so I decided to get up and write. I'd say that's a fairly typical night in the life. This time, however, I don't want to write about obscure characters, far off places and theatrical scenes. I do find it to be ironic though, as I look back now, how I have found myself to be in that exact same position as my imagined characters would be. As if I am a character pulled out of a melodramatic book. However, what I will write is as real as can be. No redo's and no more trying again: what's done is done.
I don't intend to share this story with anyone, for if these pages would be shown to anyone outside of me, I would be called out a whole lot of names I wouldn't wish upon anyone. Vicious; immoral; a cheat, just to name a few. No, I wouldn't want that. This is just me, writing for no one but myself, remembering the person who has changed my life. How we met, how we fell in love, and then some more. Remembering our time so I will never forget.
