‘This is why you can't earn my respect. Dahil wala kang isang salita, miss-ma'am.’

"You have one hour to answer your exam. Please read the instructions carefully." I instructed my students after I passed all the exam papers and answer sheets to them.

I sat on the front table and opened my laptop. I was so stressed about what happened these past two weeks and now, I have to proceed on giving exams to these students. I wasn't able to prepare well so I felt like everything was rushed.

It's been two weeks since the news about Gayle losing their child broke the whole school. The news silenced the entire university and made some people confused.

There were some who didn't know that Gayle was pregnant, there are some that sent their condolences to the Servano family, who up until now, haven't showed up in this school yet.

She was there in the waiting area, crying hard while Gayle was in the OR, unconscious.

She was helpless and couldn't figure out how to tell Gayle that they lost their baby.

I visited Gayle from time to time hanggang sa makauwi na sila. Only Kris showed up in ASU like nothing happened.

We were all letting everyone cool down. The both of them are suffering hard because of their lost at hindi makakatulong kung dadagdagan pa namin iyon sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanong.

I don't know what's the deal with this girl.

As her professor, I want to talk to her and confront her about her lapses and help her get through it.

I am not jumping to the conclusion that she couldn't make it but according to her recent performance, it is more likely to happen.

The bell rang and it was time to have our lunch break. I collected all the papers from the student and dismissed them.

She hasn't eating so well na nangangayayat na siya.

I knocked on her office and opened it.

"Sure. Tapusin ko lang to." Mahinang sagot nito. I got it, she's sad and just forcing herself to not dwell on what happened.
