*Hank's POV*
Hank woke up that morning immediately hit with an overwhelming feeling of hunger. Damn I didn't even realize I skipped dinner. Fuck it I'll just make some breakfast. Groggily he opens his eyes and starts to try to shift out of the bed but soon realizes he can't. He looks beside him and sees Connor snuggled against him; his arm wrapped around Hank holding onto him. He can't help but smile at the peacefully sleeping android and slowly brushes the hair out of his face. Fuck what am I going to do with you? He shakes his head and looks over at the time. Damn I'm surprised he's not awake before me; but I guess after last night it makes sense. Shit that was rough. I hate that he's going through so much already. I feel like he's not really getting to enjoy having freedom lately. Maybe I can do something special for him soon? Ah fuck I don't know! What could I do that's special for him? Whatever nevermind I'm starving! He slowly makes his way out from under the android letting Sumo take his place before leaving the bedroom trying his hardest not to wake Connor. Before going to start breakfast he decides to go take a shower. It isn't long after he's done he realizes he forgot his clothes again. Shit why do I keep doing this? And of course Connor's not awake so I can't ask him. Shit okay. He peaks out the bathroom door and notices the rest of the house still empty so he throws a towel in around him and slowly cracks open his bedroom door. Alright Con's still asleep I'll just try to be quick. He quietly sneaks in his own room and to his dresser; Okay okay shirt cool, and these and.. shit where are my pants? Come on they have to be here somewhere! I gotta stop throwing shit everywhere! He throws more shit around. This is why I make those post it notes! Might as well cover my whole damn house in them at this point. He picks up the pants he was looking for. Shit here there are! Alright now let me just- suddenly he hears a rustling from the bed. Shit. Shit, do I even want to turn around? He slowly turns around to see Sumo jumping off the couch and Connor stirring awake, FUCK.
~
Connor still covering his face with the cover decided to greet Hank since he heard him moving around, "Morning Lieutenant, I hope you slept we-" He uncovers his face slowly and is instantly stunned and hit with an overwhelming feeling. "I- I ah Hank I'm so sorry!" Connor's face immediately overheats and turns a deep blue as he sits up quickly. Hank is immediately embarrassed and rubs his hand behind his neck. "Ah shit Connor don't fuckin stare at me." Connor does not hesitate to turn over and cover his face; trying his hardest to cool his system down.
*Connor's POV*
Lieutenant Anderson is so.. attractive. It baffles me how insecure he is. I can't help but feel so bad for staring at him though; I could only imagine how uncomfortable I must have made him. He might even feel like I was staring in a bad way. Which I wasn't.. I mean I don't think I was. I can't really tell. My systems seem to malfunction a decent amount around him and it only gets worse when he's closer. But something inside me feels like it's something I like. I don't obviously like all the warnings and errors but it feels worth it to be around him. Either way I still think I need to apologize for my behavior.
~
Connor gets up and makes his way into the kitchen where Hank was preparing breakfast. It smelled really good. Connor felt extremely weird right now. Usually once Hank was not being so close anymore or he had calmed himself down that anxious feeling went away. It's not a bad anxious feeling but it's there none the less and he felt less confident; in turn making him more flustered and awkward than usual. Seeming to not go away he tries to convey his words.
"Lieutenant?" He mumbles to the officer facing away from him, still cooking.
"Hmm?"
"I- I wanted to apologize for.. just now. For- for the staring I mean. I wasn't trying to make you feel uncomfortable at all. I don't know why I continued but I assure you it wasn't in any negative way. I mean- I- I think you're a very attractive person and.. I just- I um got a bit mesmerized I guess." Stumbling on all his words; Connor tries to form an apology and compliment all in one. "Fuck Connor it's not a big deal or anything. I'm just insecure." He shrugs his shoulders, "And you didn't make me uncomfortable, I was just trying to keep quiet since you were still asleep. Speaking of, morning sleepyhead." Hank chuckles setting his plate down and Connor shakes his head taking a seat beside him. Hank takes a few bites of his food before talking. "So.. mesmerized huh?" He raises his eyebrows and chuckles softly in disbelief. "Huh? Oh I- I um yeah." He scratches the back of his head nervously. "I apologize if that's a bad thing Hank, it was just sincerely how I felt."
"No.. nah not a bad thing at all. Just.." he trails off. "Just what?" Connor asks, prompting him to finish his sentence. "Just.. just nothing." He shakes his head and goes back to eating his food. The android slightly disappointed decides to let him be and eat. He gets up and begins getting ready for the day. He still had plans to go see Markus and the gang at Jericho today; so he wanted to get an earlier start to be able to get back to Hank in a timely manner for dinner. He goes into his dresser and pulls out a brown sweater and a white button up with some jeans. Putting his new clothes on; he goes to look at himself in the bathroom mirror. This is still so new to me but.. he rubs his hand down the sweater softly. It feels so much better this way. Hank quietly peaks around the corner and smiles, now standing in the doorway. "Well don't you look all handsome." Connor flusters and looks away shaking his head. "Don't be silly Lieutenant, it's just an outfit." "Well it wasn't just because of the outfit Con. Anyways where are you heading to? Not that it's my business or anything- just was curious.." Hank trails off awkwardly. "You're perfectly fine Lieutenant. I'm just going to visit Markus and them at Jericho for a little while; but don't worry I'll be back in time for dinner." He flashes a smile to Hank. "Ah well shit. Don't let me hold you up or anything. You can hang out with Robo Jesus and them as long as you want." Connor facepalms. "Hank no it's Markus. I don't even think they know what a Jesus is." "Eh whatever he's literally the robot version of him." Connor shakes his head again and leaves the bathroom with Hank following behind him. "Besides I wanted to come back at a good time so I could be with you.." he sees Sumo and turns around quickly looking at Hank, "and Sumo of course." He laughs nervously. "Just be careful and text me if you need anything." "Got it." He smiles at Hank as he leaves.
*Connor's POV*
I made my way to the new Jericho building. I wasn't sure what to expect, I just followed the location Markus sent me. This one is at least less complicated to get to, he thinks as he jumps over the fence in front of him.
Jericho
When I arrived it was definitely a lot nicer too than the old freighter but still not what a human would consider livable. Luckily though the androids didn't seem to mind. They were all more just happy to have the freedom to be truly seen. Making his way into the big abandoned building; he quickly notices a lot of different androids around and they are all staring at him. He immediately feels guilt as he can already assume why they are staring. Though not long after walking into the building, he saw their leader make his way down the steps. "Connor! So glad you could make it."
"Hey Markus, and of course. Thank you for inviting me." He nods to Markus who pulls him into a bro hug patting each others back.
"So this is the new Jericho?"
"At least temporarily. Androids don't all have places to live at the moment; that will take time to achieve so this is a safe place they can stay and begin their lives until then."
"Its nice, better than a rigged cargo ship at least." Connor and Markus chuckle.
"Come on, the groups hanging out in here."
Connor follows Markus into one of the other rooms. Walking in he sees Simon journaling, Josh reading, and North playing a video game. Lots of shooting, he watches North playing. Not surprising from her.
"Guys Connor made it!"
Connor waves at them prompting a half welcome from a distracted North and a greeting from the other two.
"They'll be less distracted soon. Wanna head upstairs? I can show you more around."
Connor nods and once again follows Markus. Before leaving though; out of his peripheral he notices Simon staring at Markus leave before looking down and returning to writing in his journal. Connor tilts his head and proceeds out the room.
"So what's going on Connor?"
"Oh nothing of much importance really. Han- um Lieutenant Anderson let me move in with him so I've just been adjusting to a new life kind of like the rest of you."
Markus nods his head, "So you're sure that's all?" He turns to face Connor sympathetically.
Connor looks away, he didn't want to throw a whole lot on Markus since he had his own things going on but he didn't want to keep risking damaging his system if that's what was happening.
[Sincere]
[Avoid]
[Truth]
He decides to be sincere. "Uh well there was somethings I wanted to discuss with you yes; but it can wait until later."
Markus nods and continues to show Connor around Jericho. He suddenly sees a familiar face.
"Ralph found this for Markus! Beautiful succulent plant." He caress the plants leaves and hands it to Markus.
"Um well thank you Ralph, I appreciate it." Connor immediately wants to speak to him but Ralph beats him to it. "Ralph wonders why Markus let him here. Isn't Markus worried? Ralph remembers the Deviant hunter. Yes.. Ralph remembers." He looks scared of Connor as his led shifts from yellow to red. Markus looks to Connor knowing he can't speak in this situation for him. "Ralph I'm sorry for intruding on your home and frightening you. I was just following a mission; it wasn't the real me. I can understand and accept if none of you decide to trust me again, but I hope I can prove to you all I care and want to make amends for what I've done." Ralph's led turns blue, "Ralph understands, Ralph has moments where he's not himself either. Ralph thinks we will be good friends." He jumps up and down excitedly before motioning quickly back into his room.
"How did he make it here?" Connor asks as they keep walking.
"Well the more the police stared getting hostile; the abandoned house became unsafe for him to reside in. I was able to convince him to come to Jericho; I informed him he could keep in contact with Kara and Alice that way too."
I didn't know who they were at the time; I was just a machine chasing other machines but now that I understand.. I realized how much danger I put them in by chasing them to that highway. I could have killed them and then I wouldn't have cared but I couldn't imagine that now.
"You're in touch with them?"
"Occasionally. After escaping to Canada they decided to stay with someone who helped them. I wanted to stay in contact with them in case they needed anything; since I had put them in danger by suggesting to them to stay with us at Jericho. I was just relieved to know they'd all made it safely. Since androids don't exist in Canada still they might need a place to come back and call home or spare parts and biocomponents, so I can provide that."
"Is there any way if you are in touch with them again, you could help me get in touch as well. I want to apologize for the danger I also put them in."
Markus nods and decides to take Connor to his room upstairs before going back to join the gang.
"And this is my room. Definitely not much to really look at but I make it work." He takes the plant given to him by Ralph and sets it next to the windowsill with 2 others.
"I see you've got a collection." Connor teases.
"Yes Ralph loves his plants, but he loves giving them to the others here even more. Nobody has the heart to say no. If we don't though this whole place will be overrun by plants." Markus jokes while Connor continues looking around the room.
He notices a drawing on the wall, "Wow that looks really nice, who drew it?" Connor questions.
"Simon. Carl was a little too excited to meet him and made me get Simon something to draw on and asked him to basically do what he asked of me at one point." Markus admits reflecting. "He asked Simon to close his eyes, to imagine something he's never seen or felt before, and I'm not sure what he picked but it turned into that." The artwork showed two androids in a tight embrace but who they were was unidentifiable. "As shy as he was about it Simon insisted I kept it, so I hung it up in here." Markus smiled softly and Connor couldn't help but notice.
"So you haven't told him? Do you plan to?" Connor inquiries.
"As I stated yesterday, it's not that easy. Besides.. I'm not sure he would reciprocate and I don't want to ruin the friendship we've developed. Almost losing him once was enough for me."
"What if it wouldn't ruin it though? I can't admit I know much about what you're feeling but I can imagine either way it wouldn't ruin what you two have if he truly cares about you but I do understand that fear of losing someone you care about.." Connor trails off now in thought.
"It's just a risk I'm afraid to take." Markus shakes his head. "Come on, I'm sure they are done being loners down there."

Meeting the crew back downstairs, they all sat in a circle talking. "What are you guys doing?"
North answers, "Some game I overheard androids said they saw the humans played. We just started if you both wanted to join." Her voice sarcastic but genuine as she shrugs her shoulders. Markus leans over and whispers, "Don't worry she's actually started to chill on her kill everything attitude lately." They both take their seats Markus between Connor and Simon with North and Josh across from them. "So basically you tell the truth to any question you're asked. If you refuse, you have to drink and perform some kind of dare determined by the other players. Simple enough. North states the rules. Josh intervenes, "Only if everyone is okay with those rules."
"Please they aren't even that difficult." North argues. "Just like you North everyone has things they are uncomfortable with." He eyes her down getting her to realize she already stated something she wasn't okay with doing as a dare.
"Fine, fine! Connor, all this sound okay to you?" Singling him out as the only one who might not be okay.
"I just- I guess I don't understand the purpose of drinking if it does not effect us." He tilts his head at Markus and the group, causing them to laugh. "Did you not get the update from Cyberlife?" Simon asks quietly. So he does speak. "I uh- no?" Connor begins to check through his system updates and realizes he has a few he could download.
System Updates
° Be able to consume alcohol and recreational drugs. Side effects warning: Use with caution, will react similarly to humans.
° Enhancement to certain desires
- Requires additional parts to be completed
° Ability to listen to music similar to humans
° Ability to perceive pain and more feeling/sensation.
Note that it is not similar to humans. It has been advanced from your programming to react appropriately to detected damage to your biocomponents and any sensation will simulate feeling accordingly.
Okay well I have no idea what that second one means but I'm really excited about the rest of them especially the third one. As I've explained to Hank before listening to music isn't how it works for us. We can feel the music and distinguish it from regular noise and sound but it's not the same and I'd love to be able to experience music with Hank the way he does.
Connor decides to download all the updates except the second for now. After completing he proceeds on to the game with the group. He's somewhat worried about how Hank will react when he arrives back drunk but realizes he's allowed to make decisions without someone else's influence. He also knew he was safe here with his friends.
"Alright, Markus.." North began as they all take one shot.
"Where did you and Simon go earlier?"
