Jimmy's Bar
Connor hesitates with his reply, "Well.. I'm glad I can be that for you Lieutenant. I hope I can continue to only be more for you." He nods his head slightly. "You deserve that and more.." He partially mumbles looking down at his glass as he waits for a put off rebuttal. "Ah shit Connor, don't say that! You're more than enough for me." He pauses before realizing exactly what he said and awkwardly tries to correct himself, "Fuck- I mean not for me like that! Just.. ah-" "Lieu- Hank it's perfectly fine. I understand what you meant." Connor slightly smiles up at him as Hank tries to ignore the interaction by getting two regular shots. Connor sighs softly as a decision pops up in his peripheral.

[PERSONAL QUESTION]
"Hank.. may I ask you a question?" Connor asks timidly as Hank nods his head. "Did it make you uncomfortable when the android at the shop thought we were a couple?" Hank looks away slightly. "Your answer won't upset me or anything; I was just more curious since it seems to me you get noticeably frustrated when you accidentally state things that correlate to it." Connor attempts to form his reasoning properly and not over explain himself. Hank isn't sure how to respond, he doesn't want to tell Connor anything about how he feels, he doesn't even want to face it himself. He takes another shot and breathes out, "No Connor, it didn't at all. Why'd you think it would?" Connor's led flashes blue. Surprised at Hank's response he almost forgets to answer, "Oh I.. I mean other than reason I'd just given.. I just figured you might not like having your sexuality assumed; especially since you've had a wife before, if I recall correctly. Besides that, I just didn't believe you'd find any interest in me.. or that idea of being with an android. Though I don't feel that anyone truly might; which is more than alright. I just notice it makes me feel.. worried." Connor rubs his hands before taking his shot. Hank scoffs, "Okay well if you're thinking I'm straight just because I had a wife your super computer program is mistaken. I don't care about all that stuff it just matters who you are as a person. I don't think I'll ever know everything about it all but I'll never judge anyone for who they love. Also, you are more than enough for anybody Connor. Jesus! How much more perfect do you think you should be?!" Hank now notices he's having a harder time not concentrating on his feelings. "Alright, well what about you then? Any android ladies caught your attention?" Connor shakes his head, "Why do you assume I'm only interested in that Lieutenant? I'll have you know I feel similarly to you do when it comes to those.. feelings. I could care less about any of the things I've noticed humans tend to think about when it comes to relationships and romantic partners." Connor defends. Hank laughs slightly, "Ha if only everyone felt that way the world wouldn't be so damn judgmental. I understand Connor." He pats his shoulder lightly. Before they leave Hank gets them two more shots. "Well shit since you asked me, what about you?" Connor tilts his head. "Fuck- what Mandy thought Connor.." He admits rubbing his neck, embarrassed that he brought it back up. "Lieutenant.. that would never be something that would make me uncomfortable in the slightest." Connor looks away shyly as he takes his shot. He couldn't help but smile softly at the thought. "Why not Connor? I mean not that it mattered or whatever but like- look at me for fucks sakes. I'm old as shit, not to mention I can barley hold myself together." Connor's led flashes yellow. He doesn't like when Hank puts himself down, but decides to try a different approach than his usual. "Well, how do you know I don't like older men Lieutenant?" Connor says with a slight smirk making Hank visibly blush. "Ah fuckin' shut it Connor!" He slightly pushes him trying to ignore how cute that was to him. Hank takes his last shot with Connor and is ready to leave. "You ready to go Con?" He nods his head. "Whenever you were ready, Hank."
Just as Hank is about to pay for the drinks, Connor stops him; paying instead. He thanks the bar tender before heading out; and started slightly holding Hank who is visibly more drunk right now.
"You didn't have- have to do that Connor." Hank protests. "It was no mind at all Hank. Now come on let's get home." Once out of the bar he holds Hank a little closer so he didn't fall. "Wait! Come on Connor let's go to the park! I don't want to go home." He tries puppy dog eyes on Connor who just laughs at him slightly. "Nice try Lieutenant, the eyes don't work on me. Though I will still take you for a little while for your cute failed attempt." "Thank you Connor." Hank pets his head. "Hey I'm not fucking cute!" Hank tried to move from around Connor but quickly loses his balance and falls back against his car. Connor trying to catch Hank just gets pulled forward into a very awkward position with him. Trying hard to hide his illuminated blushing; he pushes himself back quickly and scoffs at Hank teasingly, "And you wanted to drive." Opening the door and watching Hank plop into the passenger seat; Connor shakes his head and gets into the car, immediately turning on the heat for Hank.
The Park
A couple minutes pass before they arrive at the snowed covered park once again.
Seeing the bench and bridge in the distance,
Connor felt a weird feeling overcome him. He hasn't been back here since the night of the Eden Club. The night where he decided to once again go against his mission. He was so worried to be replaced, to fail, to become anything that wasn't programmed of him. A deviant..
Yet amongst all that worry, I could hear a familiar voice.
"It's probably better this way." My led fades from yellow to blue.
That voice gave me so much reassurance. So much clarity. I looked to him and it started feeling so clear but at the same time it was still so dark and confusing.

"Connor? Con you- you good?" Hank slurs his words as he pokes him slightly. Connor is pulled from his memories to a slightly concerned Hank. "Yes Lieutenant?" "Shit Connor you just went super quiet and still all the sudden! Just makin sure you didn't shut off on me." Connor slightly smiles, "I'm alright Hank. I was just in thought. Though you already sound a bit better, I'm glad." Connor turns off the car and watches Hank slightly stumble out. "So what was the reasoning you had for wanting to be here Lieutenant?" He asks getting out of the car. As they start to walk Connor proceeds to scan Hank to make sure he's still alright. He knows it's probably weird but being able to know he's healthy and okay made Connor feel better. Hank sighed, "I'm not sure if I'm being honest Con. Sometimes I just get the feeling I'm needed here or I feel drawn to here in someway, so here I am. This place also makes me feel closer to Cole but I'm sure you know that. I just don't like coming in the daytime; too many damn people but at night when it's just me and all my thoughts, its like.. I can almost hear his laugh again when I look around the playground." Connor slightly smiles to him and looks out at the playground with Hank. "Come on!" Connor grabs his hands slightly. "Woah wait hold on Connor! Where are you taking me?!" Connor proceeded to pull Hank on the playground area. "Jesus Christ! You know how old we are to be on a playground?" Connor simply shakes his head, "You're never too old to have fun Hank." He practically jumps into one of the nearby swings and starts pushing himself. "Don't make me put you in the swing myself Lieutenant." He jokingly threatened as he watched Hank shake his head and pull himself up on one of the swings. Soon enough both the men were swinging and laughing. Connor had never experienced what being on a swing-set felt like but he could tell he enjoyed it a lot. Hank on the other-hand felt transported back to the times when he would play on this playground with Cole. As he looked at Connor, he wished Cole could have met him and seen how special he is to him. Suddenly he stops as Connor started to slow down. "Is everything alright Lieutenant?" Hank moved behind him and as soon as Connor was slowed down enough he felt a tight embrace wrap around him. "Hank.." "I'm alright Con." His voice was soft and muffled as his face nuzzled into Connor's back. "Just.. thank you for being here." Feeling the embrace tighten and then weaken suddenly, Connor finally stands up and smiles up at him. "Looks like you had a little too much fun. Come on, I don't want you getting sick."
Connor gestured for them to keep walking and Hank just followed him. Internally irritated with himself for once again showing so much emotion but he couldn't help it. Everything Connor does just makes me feel for him more.. and that fucking scares me. I just- I wasn't meant to fall in love again, I know it! I was prepared to live the rest of my life alone and I made peace with that.. until he came along. Now I don't want to see a life without him in it.
"Lieutenant..?"
"Yes Connor?" He questioned, realizing he'd gone quiet for a while as they walked.
"Is there any particular reason behind why what Mandy assumed didn't bother you?"
"Shit Connor I don't know.."
Connor nods his head. Still trying his hardest to follow the instructions given to him, he doesn't press on. "Did it matter?" Hank questions. "No Hank I guess I was just curious. It's not a big deal though. I promise."
"Fuck Connor- because you're well.. you." He looks at him quizzically, hoping Hank would explain more." He groans loudly, "Shit- just you as a person Connor!" He stops walking slightly frustrated with Connor's obliviousness. "Your personality, while it's stubborn is fucking charming. How you light up when you're excited about something like seeing dogs when we're driving around! How loving you are despite not understanding it all yourself. Shit- not to mention things like how smart and attractive you are. Besides.. you have just been an important person in my life Connor and.. I just couldn't be offended by something like that." Hank tries to minimize what he just said. "Not that it matters what I say anyways- I know it's things you already know since I can't even take you out to shop without you getting admired." Connor can't help but smile at the things Hank said about him, yet tried to remind himself that Hank is still drunk so these things probably aren't what he really thinks. "Well.. thank you Hank. I appreciate what you said, I just don't understand what you quite mean when you say I'm admired? I've looked up the definition and I've never experienced any such-" Hank groans louder. "God Connor you're really oblivious, aren't you?" For fucks sake, I admire you Connor and so do many others! Hank shook his head. Slightly offended Connor defends, "I am not." "You are, Jesus! You literally couldn't even tell Mandy was flirting with you that entire time in the mall!" Hank got closer to Connor as they talked. Connor shakes his head. "You're mistaken Hank. I did in fact notice her advances to some degree; which is why I focused more on the actual activity rather than the intention behind it. Besides.." Connor slightly pauses wondering if he should be truthful.
