Connor decided to go ahead and message Matt to let him know they'd need to hang out another day. He had uploaded Matt's picture from his scan of him to his contact, so a messy haired brown and blonde bearded man with blue eyes wasn't hard to find in his messages.

Matt

Hey, I apologize but
I'm not feeling the best today.
Is it alright if we hang out
another day this week?

After a few minutes Matt replied back

Of course Connor! I hope you
feel better and we'll definitely
hang out soon 😊

Thank you Matt.

With that out of the way, Connor finally sat up and looked at Sumo's leash hanging by the door. "Hank, would you want to take Sumo for a walk before work? I know it's been a few days since he has been on one." Hank smiled, "Sure Connor." They both got up and Connor went ahead and put a now very excited Sumo on his leash. As they put their shoes on and made their way out the door; Sumo was basically pulling Connor as best he could to the car. Getting Sumo in, Hank decided to go to a dog park near them since he knew Connor figured they were going to the park they normally do. He was hoping there would be dogs there for Connor to see and hopefully surprise him.
As they neared the place, Connor looked around confused. "Lieutenant, this isn't the way to the park. Did you get lost?" Hank smiled slightly, "It's on the way to a park Connor." "But I have the map pulled up and it says-" Hank stops him by putting one of his hands on his lap. "You're so impatient for a machine, you know that. Look there for Gods sake." Hank moved his hand and pointed in front of them as they neared down a short road." As he parked the car and watched him, Hank would never forget the way Connor's eyes lit up seeing the few dogs that were around. "HANK LOOK AT ALL THE DOGS RUNNING AROUND! THERE'S SO MANY AND ITS SO COOL THERE'S A PLACE FOR SUMO TO PLAY!!" Connor tapped his hands on his lap excitedly as Sumo whined wanting to go play. Lucky for them Hank always kept a tennis ball in the car for Sumo to fetch when many people weren't around.
"Yeah its been a while since we've been here but I thought you might like it. Come on then, I know you're waiting on me at this point." Connor smiled as he quickly got out of the car and let Sumo out. As they walked the path to the dog's play area and saw more people; Hank quickly realized that while Connor was dressed more human, he definitely still stood out as an android. Ugh nobody better bother him. He just wants to see some dogs and I fucking swear if people are rude to him because he's an android.. Hank looked down at him and smiled again. Seeing how excited Connor gets is distracting to say the least. Suddenly he feels Connor grab his hand pulling him in an obvious attempt to hurry up. Hank was still caught off guard by it even if it wasn't the first time. "Shit- okay.. okay I'm coming. Jesus you're worse than the dog." Connor laughed as they finally walked up to the gate and locked it behind them. "Alright Con you can let him off. All the dogs here are super friendly so he can just run around and play. "Yay! Go play Sumo and make lovely doggo friends!" Immediately running off to play with the others Connor sits down with Hank on a nearby bench. It doesn't take long before dogs start coming up to them for pets which Connor happily gave every time. Hank watched as Connor intently examined the dogs play and his little movements of excitement when they would come near him. It was so precious to him. After some time he couldn't help but notice some of the other people there staring at them, well more specifically Connor. It's like they'd never seen an android before. Maybe they're just interested by his reactions or something? Glad it doesn't seem to be phasing him, he's so distracted anyways. Connor threw the ball and watched Sumo and another dog chase it. The other dog caught it and brought it back to Connor who then threw it again. This time Sumo came back with it as Connor continued to throw it for them. After a little longer of playing Sumo finally started to get tired so they decided to finish their walk so he could be dropped back off at home. Connor reattached his leash and followed Hank to the path as Connor waved bye to all the dogs before they left. "So does that mean you had fun?" "Of course! Did you see how many dogs I got to pet?! They were all so adorable! Never as cute as Sumo though!" Connor smiled and knelt down to pet him as did Hank. While doing so though, Connor accidentally rubbed over Hank's hand and looked at him concerned as they now continued to walk. "Lieutenant! Why didn't you wear gloves? You know it's 48° outside today; it's too cold to be out without them." Hank shakes his head, "I'm wearing my jacket, I'll be perfectly fine." Connor stops walking again and turns to face Hank and hold his hands. "Goddammit Connor there's no need for this-" "Then don't be so stubborn all the damn time and I won't feel the need to." Hank groaned as he awkwardly looked away. "Don't be so shy Hank." Connor paused and sighed slightly, not sure if he should actually tease about the moment they shared together or not. "Don't forget you've kissed me before, holding hands should be far from your concern at this point Lieutenant. Besides, my hands are almost at a moderate temperate so yours should start warming up in no time." "Oh shut it Connor. I wasn't even shy about it or whatever." Connor looks up from their hands and smirks slightly. "Sure Hank. So I'm supposed to pretend your cheeks are red because of the cold right?" "Exactly." He grumbles. Connor shakes his head and lets go. "There, thank you for your cooperation. Now your hands should stay warm for the rest of the walk grumpy." Sumo stands up as they finally get done and continue the path that went in a circle. As they walked Connor just analyzed the area taking in the new sights as Hank caught himself staring at him. He looked down at his hands and then Connor's and contemplated if he was actually going to. Dammit I should've just shut up. I can't believe I'm seriously wanting to do this or why its even a big deal? He's right- I literally fucking kissed him and now I'm too nervous to just grab his hand? Sounds so pathetic. Hank grabbed Connor's hand softly, causing Connor to jump a little from surprise as his led spun yellow. Smiling warmly, Connor moved his fingers between Hank's so they were actually holding hands. "Did you get cold Hank?" Hank sighs, no point in pretending, Connor can tell he's not with an easy scan. "No Connor. I just.. wanted to hold your hand. You know, if you're okay with that?" He asked visibly nervous but Connor just smiled. "Always." His led returns blue as he moves closer and continued to finish the little path with him. The time was about 11:30 am so they were doing pretty well at arriving to the station at a decent hour. Connor couldn't help but notice some people staring at them now though as they got closer to Hank's car. His led flashed yellow as he tried to adjust from Hank's hand.
Noticing what Connor was worrying about Hank shook his head and held Connor's hand tighter; whispering softly to him. "Don't worry about them Connor. If they said anything then they'd be dealing with me." Connor's led returned to a stable blue as they approached the car and finally let go of one another so Connor could get in with Sumo. Despite knowing he shouldn't think anything more of it all, Connor couldn't take his mind off all the times they share together and how happy he still felt with Hank."
