Hank's House
9:15 pm
When Hank got home he immediately checked to see if Connor was there. Despite knowing the fact he probably wasn't. He sighed loudly and pulled out his phone.
Connor 🤎
9:18
Con? I'm really sorry okay, please
come home.
He typed it out and quickly deleted it. Throwing his phone and himself on the couch, he groaned loudly. "Dammit Sumo what the fuck do I do now?" He looked at his dog who just laid his head on his lap. "No clue either huh?" After petting Sumo a bit, he grabs his phone once more and stares at it. "Shit- what do I say.. fuck-" He tries to find his words once more.
9:24 pm
Connor, I know you probably don't want to hear from me right now
and I don't blame you for that
but please come back home.
He re-read the message multiple times before sighing and sent the message just accepting the fact Connor probably wasn't going to respond. Not that I even blame him, I wouldn't text me back either after that.
Turning off his phone he leaned back into the couch, his head was swimming and all he could think of was tonight. He looks down at Sumo who crawled up on the couch to comfort him. "Dammit Sumo, I think I care more about this android than I first thought.." Running his hands through his hair he tries to think of anything he can do to make up for what he's done.
"Fuck- I could just be honest with him! I could tell him everything.. but I'll never be what he needs. Anyone needs.. I can barley be enough for my own dog much less myself or anyone else I care about." He checks his phone again and still no reply from Connor. Laying down on the couch he decided he'd wait here hoping to see Connor walk through the door at any moment.
A few hours passed by and Hank was passed out; while Connor still had not returned home yet.

(1) Message from Hank 💙
9:24 pm
Connor sighed, he couldn't help but notice the message notification in his peripheral. Opening it he'd read Hank's message and immediately knew he was serious. Hank never messages like this.. but what does it matter when I come home anyways? He'll be fine without me for a few hours.
Connor shook his head slightly and cleared the message from his vision, giving his attention back to his apparent new friend.
Throughout the next few hours though Connor couldn't help but glance at the message every once in a while. The time had gotten late and he really enjoyed the time he'd spent talking with Matt but he knew he couldn't avoid this forever.
"Everything alright Connor?" He placed his hand slightly on Connor's arm.
His led flashed blue as he realized he'd gotten distracted. "Yes- yes, I'm sorry I'm alright. I was distracted by a message." Connor turned his attention back to Matt. "From him I assume?" Connor nodded. "By what it sounds like he cares a lot for you Connor, more than he lets on. Though if he continues to disregard and avoid that, there's nothing you can do to change him. As hard as that may be to accept. Sometimes you'll fall for people and realize there's no chance to be with them, to share in how you feel together. Love doesn't always work like that."
Connor nods his head sadly, "You're right. It was a bit silly of me to expect much differently I suppose." He smiles faintly. "Hey it's alright." He laid his hand on Connor's wrist and smiled warmly to him. "You seem like a great person to me, I'm positive you'll find someone in due time."
Connor felt himself blush a little at the compliment, hoping it wasn't too noticeable.
"Hey what's that?" "What's that what?" Connor looked around him. "No no you. Your cheeks.. they are glowing blue?" Connor noticed it deepen after being pointed out. Shit. "Oh I.. I assume its similar to what humans refer to as 'blushing'. Though since my biocomponents run on thirium or blue blood as you'd call it; my cheeks tend illuminate that color when I'm shy or nervous. At least, I think so.."
Matt laughs slightly, "I didn't mean to call it out like that then! It was just interesting. I haven't had much opportunity to interact with many androids so I have never seen something like that before. It's cute though.. on you." He smiled slightly. "Well thank you Matt.. I- I appreciate that." Connor looked at the time once more.
"Matt, as much fun as it's been talking with you. I really should be getting home. I really appreciate you talking with me though. I needed it."
"It's no problem at all Connor, I'm glad I approached you." They get up together and head out the door. Matt smirks slightly, "Hey you have my number still, don't be a stranger." Connor titled his head. Laughing Matt explained, "It means don't forget I exist. So you can message me whenever." Connor smiled as he handed the card back, "Here." "Hey its no worries, I apologize for assuming you wanted to stay in contact." Matt goes to grab it back. "No- no that's not it at all. I have an exceptional memory, so I memorized your number as soon as you handed me the card. This is so you know I'm not 'going to be a stranger'." Matt grabbed the card and noticed Connor's number on it. Smiling back at him, he pockets the card. "Would you want a ride home?" Matt asked. Politely declining Connor stated he needed the walk but appreciated the offer and promised to talk again soon.
Connor felt proud of himself he didn't talk to a lot of people yet, especially humans. But he did it, albeit under shitty circumstances; he made a new friend nonetheless. Though that didn't prohibit him from any of the feelings he was experiencing. As soon as he was out of distance of anyone Connor could feel himself tear up once more but he knew he needed to get over it if he wanted any kind of friendship with Hank still.
Arriving home it was about 11:20 at night. Connor assumed Hank would be asleep in bed so unlocking and opening the door as silently as he could, he immediately sees Sumo get up to greet him. Trying to quiet him down he also sees Hank laid on the couch with the phone tight in his hand. He sighs and approaches him slowly, led flashing yellow as he looked at him.
