I looked at her sleeping figure, so peaceful and so calm as she snuggled deeper into me. I stroked my fingers on her cheek and she stirred in her sleep.

"Wake up, my love." I whispered and she opened her eyes slowly, meeting my gaze.

Those eyes could kill.

She smiled at me and stretched a bit.

"How long was I asleep?" She asked me and I breathed in her rosy scent.

"It's hardly been an hour." I told her and she frowned.

"Why'd you wake me up then? Come on, let's sleep." She said in a sleepy voice and pulled me towards her but I held her hand, kissing her wrist.

"As much as I'd love to hold you tonight, I'm afraid I have to take you home. Your family has been calling you. I answered your father's call and told that I'd bring you home in a while, safe and sound." I told her and she nodded, getting up and reaching for her phone.

"Did he say anything else?" She asked me scrolling through her messages.

"Just to take care of you." I told her and she smiled at her phone and looked at me.

Should I also tell her about the threats? Never mind.

"You better take care of me then." She said and I leaned towards her, placing a lingering kiss on her lips.

"I plan to." I smirked at her and pulled her out of the bed and put my blazer on her shoulders.

"Did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?" I asked her and she blushed.

"Quite a few times, but I don't mind." She shrugged, making me chuckle as we walked out hand in hand.

The car ride was spent in a comfortable silence, her hand in mine as her head came to lie on my shoulder.

"So you are rich." I told her, looking at her house and she gave me a weird look.

"Don't pretend you didn't already know that. I knew you did a background search on me." She narrowed her eyes at me and I shrugged.

"Couldn't help myself, sweetheart." I flashed her a toothy grin and she rolled her eyes, walking towards her front door, but I saw the smile on her face.

Caught you.

"At least I felt guilty about it." I said and she rolled her eyes at me.

I put my hands in my pockets and followed her to the door when she rang the doorbell and moments later her father opened, looking worried.
