I leaned on the door to the garden and heard her talking to her father.

She didn't notice me, but I saw the smile on her face when she talked to him, and my heart trembled when she spoke of me.

"I know that dad, but I choose to be with him because I love him, a lot. I've never loved anyone like I love Nicholas because he makes me feel alive and so loved. He's my other half." She said and my heart swelled with happiness, a  small smile tugging at my lips.

"It is worth it. Every single second I've spent with him, it's worth it all. I know the dangers and the risks, I knew them when I told him I loved him because there's no one else for me." I took a deep breath when she said this, but I froze when I heard her say that fucker's name.

Liam.

The only reason he isn't dead yet is because I don't want to give her family and friends any more reason to hate me, but the thought of it is so appealing I'd kill Stuart and Matteo if I had to.

And I waited with baited breath at what she'd do next and heard her argue with her father but in the end, she called him.

Why the fuck did she call him?

Insecurity tugged at my chest as I watched her talk to him, although rather awkwardly. My ears perked up when she mentioned me and I walked closer to her.

"I'm in the garden, and no, my boyfriend is working." She said and looked at her nails with a bored expression. The smile on my face was no longer there as I stared at her back coldly and then the phone in her hand.

Yeah, everything's great, joyous, dandy." She spoke sarcastically as I stood right behind, towering over her.

Her breathing hitched and she knew I was here. There was a brief moment of silence when I leaned down to whisper in her ear.

"Put it on speaker." I whispered in her ear, my lips touching her when she obeyed like a good girl.

I made my way to sit beside her and pull her into my lap, looking at her intently, not once removing my gaze from hers as she stared back at me and for a moment, it felt like there was no one but as as I got lost in her beautiful gaze.

"Do you really love him more than you loved me?" He asked, making her frown as she looked at me.

She's really testing my patience right now.

"Do you, Dove?" Liam asked again and she clutched her phone tighter, looking deeper into my eyes as if she'd find the answer to all her problems in there.
