Chapter 100: Two? Fucking two?!

"Are you ready?" The doctor asked me and I glanced at Nico's worried face once before smiling and taking in a deep breath.

"Yeah." I nodded as my doctor, Gia Monroe looked at the screen of the monitor while Nico held my hand and kissed my forehead in reassurance.

"So, I have good news." Dr. Monroe clapped her hands as we looked at her questioningly.

"I think you'll be needing double of any baby stuff you've bought up till now." She said as Nico frowned in confusion, but then my eyes widened.

"W-what?" I asked, unsure of what she may be implying but then she smiled so wide I thought her face would break.

"Congratulations, you're having twins!" She said excited as Nico's mouth fell open.

"Two? Fucking two?!" He asked exasperated as I smacked his arm and scowled at him.

"I mean, that's-... I'm so fucking happy baby." He pressed his lips to mine in a sweet kiss before pulling away with a dreamy smile on his face.

The doctor told us a few more things, like precautions, what to expect and what not to before we went back home.

Our honeymoon had ended a few days ago and I was 8 weeks along, hence the revelation we were having twins.

I was worried, sure, it would be a bit challenging to take care of two babies at a time but I was also equally ecstatic, and so was Nico. I could see how happy he was because it clearly showed on his face.

"Dove, I think you broke Nico." Matteo looked between me and Nico horrified as we sat at the dining for lunch.

"How so?"

"He's... smiling." Matteo said shocked, as if smiling was a sin when both Nico and I rolled my eyes.

"You want to tell them, or should I?" Nico asked leaning towards me, wiping the sauce of the lasagne off my lips.

"You can go ahead." I gave him the green light as he cleared his throat, grabbing everyone's attention.

"We went to the doctor today." Nico announced as all our friends looked at him expectantly before we both shared a knowing look.

"And we're having twins." He  finished and everyone's faces formed huge smiles as they congratulated us.

"I'm going to be an uncle and a father." Stuart said smiling and pecked Adrianna's cheek who was already three months along, and showing off her little baby bump.

I still wasn't showing much of a bump, just that some of my clothes had gotten a little tighter so Nico had taken me shopping a few days ago, and ended up buying me the whole mall.

"You're going to make great parents, I'm sure of it." Jake told us, making my eyes water as a few tears escaped my eyes.

"Shit, did I do something wrong?" Jake looked at me worriedly when Nico sighed, rubbing my back.

"Hormones. Don't worry about it." Nico said kissing the top of my head as he shushed me, well aware of my recent 'hormones' that made me laugh and then cry and then laugh again, making me look like someone who had escaped an asylum.

"Right. Before I forget, we have a meeting in an hour." Jake reminded Nico who nodded as we all finished lunch and the men had to leave.

"When will you be back?" I asked Nico with a pout, making him sigh as he kissed my lips briefly.
