When the party was finally over and we had said goodbye to all the guests, I leaned my head on Nico's shoulder as his arm wrapped around my shoulders comfortingly.

"Tired?" He asked in my ear.

"Just a bit." I admitted as we said goodbye to our friends before going towards our car. We were taken back home and Nico was nice enough to carry me into the house since my feet were killing me.

Setting me down carefully in our room, I wrapped my arms around his neck as his own wrapped around my waist, pulling me impossibly close to him.

"Thank you." He whispered into my hair when I frowned, pulling away a bit so I could look into his dark eyes.

"For what?" I asked when he smiled in the slightest.

"For being mine." He said as a smile grew on my face and I pecked his cheek, but he moved his head at the last moment so my lips landed on his.

Taking me by surprise, he deepened the kiss, his hands tightening on my waist while I kissed him back with equal fervour.

Our kiss grew heated within moments as our hands roamed each other's body. His fingers tugged at the zipper of my dress before he pulled it down, causing the dress to pool at my feet.

His hands went to the back of my thighs and he pulled me up, my legs wrapping around his waist as we kicked off our shoes and he climbed on the bed, laying me down on it.

I pulled away for a breather when his lips attacked my neck, leaving a trail of wet kisses all the way down to my chest while I tugged at his blazer.

He understood what I wanted and pulled it off his shoulders while I unbuttoned his shirt with shaky fingers. He found I was nervous and immediately pulled away with a frown while he looked into my glossy eyes.

"What's wrong my love?" He leaned forward and cupped my cheek when I shook my head and pressed my lips to his in a soft and sweet kiss, but he was quick to pull away.

"Tell me what's wrong." He demanded and I sighed, looking up at the ceiling when his arms came under me and pulled me onto his lap so I was straddling him. I buried my face in his neck and sighed heavily.

"I'm scared Nico." I confessed and heard his sharp intake of breath as he pulled me back so we could look into each other's eyes.

"Of what?" He asked softly when I shrugged.

"It's stupid, really." I said but then a sob broke out of me and he muttered a few curses before wiping my tears away with his thumb and kissed my forehead and my cheeks affectionately.

"Tell me what's wrong baby, and I'll fix it." He said softly.

"I'm scared of losing you Nico." I whispered and heard him sigh before he shook his head.

"You're not losing me, ever." He said wiping my tears away.

"It's just that Giovanni is out there and he's hell bent on making our lives hell. He wants you gone, Nico, and he wants me to himself." I said shakily when his jaw clenched and his eyes grew darker.

"No one is going to take you away from me baby. Ever. I won't let anyone come between us. You got that? You trust me, don't you?" He said and I nodded.

"Good. Then trust me when I tell you that I would never let anything happen to you, and you won't ever lose me. I promise. I love you baby." He whispered and I forced a weak smile to my face.
