Wow I can't believe so many people are actually reading this. Last time I checked 39 people had read chapter 18. I had only really continued this because I enjoyed it but I am glad to see that people are actually reading this. I will therefore try and post more often

Chapter 19

Zayn's P.O.V

I was waiting in the foyer when Alicia entered. She looked calm and confident, not like she had just found out she had a cheating boyfriend at all. I stood up and she looked over and waved. "Hey, mind if I join you?" she asked in that sweet voice of hers. I shook my head and swiped my card so we could enter.

"What were you planning on doing?" I asked and she shrugged. "Just go for a run. I am not really in a weights mood" she sighed. I lead the way over to the treadmills and picked one beside her. I put it on level 6 for a brisk walk and she did the same.

"So, tell me about your team" I asked, trying to steer the topic to a subject she loved. It worked, I could see her face light up, though whether from relief or from love I don't know.

"Oh, I just love it. My team is really cool, they are always there for you, both on and off the field. If we need a back up for a tackle, they are running beside you. If you need to borrow a dress, there is always someone with the perfect one" Alicia sighed happily and I nodded.

"I know how you feel. The lads and I are really close. We are always there for each other. It was such a shock when Louis disappeared. No one really knew what to do" The words were out of my mouth before I could stop them. Damm you Alicia with your sugary personality that makes me lose control!

"What!!! Louis disappeared?" Alicia asked in a high pitched voice. Luckily it was pretty empty in our area but I still looked at her with wide eyes. "Keep your voice down" I hissed then replied in a softer voice. "He went missing while we were at the beach. Not for long though. He was fine" I hastened to cover my mistake. She sped the treadmill level up to 10 and tapped her nose. "Don't worry, I won't say anything. Poor Louis"

Both of us were silent after that. I enjoyed running along beside her, listening to her heavy breathing. Although I certainly wasn't complaining when she started up the conversation again. We chatted about random things, the band, our favourite countries, summer. I had never met a girl so easy to be around before.

After a good half an hour, we shut off the machines and walked sweatily into our respective changing rooms for showers before meeting back in the foyer.

"So, off home then?" Alicia asked casually and I jumped at my chance.

"Acutally, would you like to go see a movie with me?" I asked softly. I saw a smile fly across her face, quick to be dashed away.

"Zayn I am not sure I am ready for a boyfriend, especially after my last one. I just want to be myself for awhile you know" she gave a weak smile and I could see that deep down, she really did want to say yes. I realised I had pushed her too soon and anxiously tried to redeem myself.

"No worries, we can go as friends. I have been wanting to see this one for ages but the guys aren't interested and I have no one else to go with" the words came out in a rush and I saw her smile was back.

"That would be great. Do we want to get changed first?" Alicia asked looking down at her sweaty attire. I hesitated.

"Ya know what? Lets make a thing out of it. We can go out for sushi then to the movie. I have these new clothes I have been dying to wear" I added, remembering her favourite food was sushi.

"Ok then, lets go" Alicia smiled. As we exited the gym, I reached out to grab her hand. "Alicia, I understand that you aren't ready now. But just remember, when you are, you have me" she nodded and I took the keys off her and opened the car door with a smile.
