Twins Promise (random chapter)

"You think it's gonna be fine again?" asked Changbin insecure and looking up to his sister who stood in front of him. Chae herself didn't really know how to answer, she wanted to reassure her brother but at the same time, couldn't lie to him.

She never liked to give empty promises, especially not to Changbin. She sighed and sat beside him "I can't promise anything but at the same time I can't lie to you that it doesn't look good currently".

Changbin wasn't surprised, he expected it. It's childish to hope for a happy end, that's what Changbin always thought but now, he decided to get as childish as possible with the hope.

"What should we do?" he asked, making Chae a bit nervous, she doesn't know what to do now. The situation they're in is terrible and no one would know what to do now.

"Let's not think about it now" she answered and looked away, out of the window to see the trees planted in their garden. They were ten when they decided, as a memory of their parent's death, to plant a tree.

Their uncle said it should show the growth of the two, to see how far they came even without their parents. It occurred sometimes that Chae looked outside and gets surprised by the height the trees reached through the years.

And now she gazed through the leaves which move in harmony from the outside. She never thought to feel such an impact of emotions inside her, just by seeing a tree exist.

She needs to accept that they need to handle everything on their own now, they have no one who will do it for them. "Let's go to Minho" Chae announced and stood up from her seat to get her jacket, Changbin was confused "Why?".

"He's not safe alone" she only answered determined. With the thought of what the twins already went through, Chae doesn't want to think about what could happen to Minho since he saved the two.

As she knocked at the door every knock turned louder and more aggressive as her thoughts went in a sensitive direction. The door got ripped open by Minho himself, surprised and scared of what's the matter.

"What is it? Did something happen? Someone hurt?" Minho asked, carelessly showing his morning look to the twins. Minho hated to get woken up by someone but as he could recognize the knocking pattern, his anxiety flew to the roof.

He loved to see Chae by his side, visiting him and spending time with him. But. In times like this he questions his sanity about meeting these idiots again.

As he saw Chae's emotionless face and Changbin behind her having an apologetic look, he knew nothing happened. He groaned frustrated and massaged his temple, regretting the decision to have left his bed.

"Okay, what do you want?" he asked with sincere annoyance while glancing into Chae's eyes. "We just wanted to check on you" Chae said, sincerity in her voice without changing her expression.

"Well, storming my home is not really 'checking up on someone' for me" groaned Minho. "She just got a bit carried away" Changbin laughed nervously and passed Chae to get to him "With Jang Moon here in the streets we got worried about your safety" he continued and entered the apartment.

Minho and Chae still stared at each other, not really knowing who should do the first step. Chae wondered how she came to the idea to visit Minho, after their big fight.

She couldn't ignore him, even if they would break contact she wouldn't be able to live with knowing someone in danger. "I'm surprised we see each other again since yesterday" Minho stated after a suffocating silence and went to the side to let Chae through.

Without an answer, she went through the entry, took off her shoes, and walked to Changbin into the living room. "I know many things make you anxious right now but coming to my home just like that at 9 am is annoying" groaned Minho as he entered the room.

"The person who's most anxious is probably you and not me" Chae spotted with a chill manner making Minho shut up. "I mean this little problem won't stop us from looking after you" intertwined Changbin into the conversation.

"You need to look after yourself more instead of me" answered Minho, crossing his arms. "We met him already a few times, we can look after ourselves but you... you never even needed to fight against someone" Chae included herself again in the conversation, looking up at Minho.
