Chan had a feeling, a really bad one. The second he entered the police department, full of the detectives who were usually scrambled in their single offices, suddenly running with papers flying around. His knees got wobbly of nervousness, suddenly everything seemed more serious than it already was.
The investigations went on for two months now, with the mysterious deaths of five people in the city. Feeling as if it was too much, Chan took himself two days off, trying to relax his muscles while the nagging voices of the mourning families filled his head.
Suddenly everything seemed to be matching up. Somehow. Suddenly it was found a connection between the deaths and everything fell into one deck. Murder.
It were all copies of documents, formulated from the detectives who were flying around and tried to reach every table in the department. Chan had one on his table too.
He wasn't fond of the fact that his table was now thrown around with papers, making his hard work of organization ruined but he was ready for the information he would be filled in. Taking his seat on his chair, leaning back to an extreme where strange noises come from the chair, making it look as if it was about to break.
Taking the papers and skimming through them, Chan found the actual connection between the deaths and had the logical conclusion of murder. It wasn't new for the city to have a murderer walking around.
But the new case had something new into it, suddenly they were chasing after a ghost. Someone who was able to murder five people, making it look like normal deaths and leaving no trace behind. Suddenly Chan felt his heart tighten with the thought of his days off.
Suddenly he neglected five victims of murder and not victims of unfortunate deaths. He couldn't imagine how the families would react if they would ever to find out.
"Chan Hyung!" a familiar voice called out, reaching the table of the detective. Seungmin was one of the few who were understandable for the break Chan took for himself.
Chan turned to the over, seeing him also holding the papers from the other detectives. "I see you got the papers already" he said, gazing over to his table, seeing the papers in a proper pile.
"Yeah, I got a glimpse of it" Chan answered, skimming the papers with his finger as he looked back on his table. Seungmin nodded to the information "Our boss wants to see you" he added.
With a swift movement Chan looked back at the other with idle shock and confusion, he just came back from his break. "What does he want?" he asked, trying to negotiate his next steps correctly.
"I think it has something to do with this" the light brown haired male answered, lifting the papers in his hands in the air. Chan looked at the papers, only seeing the dead bodies on the first page first.
He wasn't really brought into the case, at the same time of the last killing he was in a deep interrogation with a pick pocket thief. He was the least informed in the office about the case and couldn't really be of much help now.
But still he nodded and stood up from his place to go out of the office, walking through the hallways. Working his way through the sections of the police department, he soon arrived in front of the office of his chef.
He couldn't really imagine what to expect so he just knocked without hesitation and turned the knob to walk inside. Inside the office was everything clean with awards and documents standing all around the shelfs in the room.
His chef lifted his head to see his expected visitor, with a short glimpse of Chan he swiftly removed the papers he was reading from his place and invited Chan on a seat in front of him. Chan walked slowly to his place, sitting down on the chair and leaning back, feeling the chair restricting the movement.
