There comes a time in one's life when they begin to question every decision they ever made. That moment as it was... Was happening to Rurìn this very second. She made a choice to find her family, to leave the scornful Village of Hollin of the race of men, to find people who may not even give the slightest damn about her. But it was a much better decision than staying in the cabin she called home for the better part of her life. She would have never ended up in Rivendell if she hadn't braved the weather and tempted fate by traveling on her own and risking dying not once but many of times. Thank Aulë or Mahal as her Dwarven Kin calls him, that she hadn't been run through or captured by any Goblin or worst Orcs in her journey.

If she hadn't ended up in Rivendell she would have been completely at a loss in finding her family, at least her blood relations because as much as the Dwarves loath Elves, she had found a family in them. Elrond had treated her like he had treated Arwen, she was far better of a word for it, his daughter by choice and he Ada. The Elvish Twins were her brothers as much as Lindir and Glorfindel were her brothers and Hemi was like the know it all uncle. Without them, she would still be clueless about where to start. She may have even been as good as dead oh so very long ago. She would be grateful for them for the rest of her life. However, as much as she was so excited to learn of her heritage, meeting her sister and her sister-sons... Rurìn was beyond terrified when she woke up. Why? Well, Thòrin had returned home.

After many weeks of talking with Dìs, trying to find a way to broach her existence to him, explain who she was and what it was she wanted; which was nothing. She did not want a title or a request for coin or anything really. She just wanted to know them and that was enough for her. But the moment she opened her eyes, she suddenly remembered the very awkward and not even proper introduction to Dwalìn son of Fundìn; Thòrin's right-hand man and most loyal friend to the point that they were like brothers. Mister Dwalìn as Kìli calls him, is the chosen uncle to him and Fìli, despite them being third cousins once removed. The Dwarrow practically help raise them with their mother and Thòrin when Vìli died. The man trained them to be warriors. He is also the captain of the guard as well and he is no easygoing type of Dwarrow.

When her door opened and Fìli slipped in without being noticed by his brother or his Amad, he crawled up on her bed and proceeded to remind her about this straight as pins, hard as a nutshell, and steady as a mountain male who in Fìli's all out input was an Alpha who does not back down unless ordered by Thòrin to do so. He was warning her that Dwalìn already made his mind up about her. If you grew up around him the way Fìli had then he was probably easy to read. If Fìli was warning her then that meant that her trying to be with them might not be so easy anymore.

This was why she was questioning her decision to come to Ered Luin. She got to know her sister and created a beautiful friendship with her sister-sons and it was going to really hurt her if she had to leave them now. It was going to break her heart and Rurìn had enough heartbreak when her grandparents died and her Mother disappeared on her when she was still just a child. Rurìn didn't want to lose her blood because some Dwarf had the balls to make her an enemy before even giving her a chance.

Kìli had come into the room not long after Fìli to tell her that Mister Dwalìn had already spoken to Thòrin. Who told him to tell Fìli that he and their Amad was not to be disturbed this morning. Which all in all, was apparently, not a good sign at all. This incredibly sucked donkey ass.

At least the boys were trying to be optimistic about it all, they played chess on her bed, Fìli left and came back with breakfast for the three of them. They lounged around her hearth listening to her read for a bit, helped her with her Khudzul and she in return taught them a bit of Elvish, mostly insults (Glorfindel will not be pleased but Elrohir would be.) They did everything to ease her worries the best they could.
