Didn't have any plans to publish this chapter but I did because my second story, His Beloved, reached 100k. I'm so overwhelmed with the love showered on it.

I recommend to the people who haven't read that, to read it asap. It's an emotional roller coaster ride, true love, and a happy ending.

Enjoy reading.

“Yash, our hard work!” Mom cries hugging Dad while I just stand still looking at our hospital burning down.

My fingers are fisted in my pockets and the back of my eyes starts to burn with pain. The flame on the building that is reflecting in my eyes is resembling my heartburn.

“Shreya,” Dad caresses her hair, “Please, don't cry. I can't see the tears in your eyes, baby.”

Even though he is breaking down slowly but he is standing strong for Mom.

Chey and Sam are standing by me and tears flowing down their faces too but not even a single tear escaped my eye. It won't. Until I find who did this, it will never be.

Thankfully the manager could find it out immediately and we shifted all the patients with the help of volunteers.

When I came here, all I see were Avyuktha’s teary eyes. Her eyes expressed only pain.

“Sir, everyone is out and a few pieces of equipment too saved,” The manager says.

I nod, “Burn that equipment, too.” I order him.

Dad and Mom look at me with wide eyes, “Shre-”

“Let everything burn down,” I order him, “Everything.”

“Ravi Sir,” someone from the volunteers yells for him. “Sir, from the hospital staff, a woman is stuck inside.”

“Dammit! Send someone inside,” I yell.

“Sir, it's dangerous now. The flames are rising rapidly and by now I guess, she might have burnt down too,” The volunteer says.

“Fucking insane!” I scream, “Why the hell wasn't she taken out?”

“Sir, she has walked inside despite the warnings,” he says, “Seems like a kid was inside too and she went into the building despite the warnings.”

“Avyuktha,” Deva screams running towards the building.

My heart trips and my palms sweat.

“Avyuktha,” Ishu is about to run inside crying, Chey holds her back. She beats him and tries to run inside again but he stops her.

“Avyuktha is inside,” Deva sobs, “My best friend, Samrat. She is stuck inside. Please let me go.”

Deva cries in Sam’s chest when he holds her trying to stop her from going inside.
