2 months later,
"Hello, Chey," I say as soon as he answers my call.
"Hello, sister," I can sense his smile through his words.
I push out my fingers at the nurse who walks inside, indicating to her to come back after five minutes, "I called you to ask you something but before it, tell me, how is Ishu?" I ask him curiously.
"Still angry," he mumbles. "She is a hard nut to crack."
I laugh, "That she is." A month ago, Chaitanya married Isha creating a huge scene and she hates him now. I wish things between them mend. "So, listen, Annu seems stressed a lot nowadays. He isn't even having food properly nor he is talking to me like he was before. I guess it's because of Viaan's nuisance," I say.
Viaan and Shreyan had a couple of meetings to settle things about the land but Viaan made sure Shreyan lost his sanity and the latter had to go to the station once again.
He started being with me like before and called me at night when I and Annu have our time. Sometimes he even sends flowers to my cabin. He messages me sweet things as he did now.
I look at my screen when Viaan pings me again stating that he is at my hospital. My eyes widen.
"Avi, Viaan-"
"Chey, I'll call you back. I need to go. It's an emergency," I hang up the call and get to my feet to walk out. When I open the door, it is pushed inside, revealing Viaan.
"Hey!" he smiles and pulls me in a hug before I could react. "I missed you."
I wriggle in his arms and pull away harshly when he nuzzles his face in my neck.
"Why did you come?" I ask in a flat tone, stepping away from him and maintaining a safe distance.
He smiles, "I thought you will be happy with my visit," he pouts and lays down on the patient's bed.
"Viaan," I warn him walking to him, "What's wrong with you? Look, you can't text me or call me whenever you wish for. I am married. I have family and a husband who wants me to give my time to them. And..." I stand a foot away from him pushing out my finger in a warning, "Don't ever try to come and meet me without my husband's permission. Now, get out."
He smirks and tugs me at him with great force causing me to fall on his chest. In a swift, he flips the positions making me lie under him.
The door burst open and Shreyan walks inside with a smile. He looks around not finding me in my usual place. As his eyes fall on me, they reflect hurt. He masks them into anger.
I push Viaan off me and get down from the bed. Shreyan rages at Viaan walking towards us dangerously. No, I can't let it happen. With one more attack on Viaan by Shreyan, Annu will have to go to prison. I can't let him ruin his career.
