Next day,

"Yeah, I am on my way home," I say as I get into the metro, with many people trying to fit their asses inside. "It was a hectic day at the hospital and I am so tired."

"It's a weekend. Why don't you come home and take a break for at least two days?" Ridha whispers, "Daddy has been asking for you, Avi."

I sigh and quickly mouth sorry to the guy I fell onto when someone pushed me. He nods with a smile and rolls his eyes from my head to toe. I wriggle my eyebrows feeling uncomfortable and squeeze my way to the other side of the block.

"Ridha," I gasp, "I will talk to you tomorrow morning. But now, will you put the phone on my niece? I want to hear her cute voice."

Ridha laughs, "She is playing with Vansh. In these six months, I can't believe how they both bonded. She is so good with her father. All day she looks around for Vansh and when he comes inside, she squeals louder and louder until every corner reverberates with her cute and happy scream," She says everything so happy that my eyes water.

Immediately after Vansh came to know about my and Shreyan's separation, he started approaching Ridha. She was angry at him but comprised everything for her daughter. He tried to make her forgive for four months and she gave up all her pain and anger for their daughter. I don't think she had to do that. I didn't support it and neither did I want to advise her of anything when she believed she would be with her husband and daughter. I am just glad that she is happy again. I am glad that Vansh is trying to be a good person for his wife and daughter. I am happy that he is tracking his career back into its place after Shreyan's plans.

"I hear her laugh," I whisper on the phone, hearing my niece's squeals and Vansh's begs to make her eat. "Are they cute?"

The imaginations of Shreyan and our daughter keep disturbing my sanity again.

"They are!" Ridha says as her voice fades and a thud echoes on the accompanied by their laughs, "Vansh, no. It's her cerelac. Stop rubbing it on my face, Vansh. No. Stop doing it."

I smile hearing my sister's life. The only thing I am glad about in these six months is that my sister got her family back.

"You look so cute with her cerelac all over your face," Vansh teases and a smooch sound clicks through the phone. "How about I paint it all over you once our baby sleeps?"

I immediately end up the call as their talks levelled up to intimate. I close my eyes, holding the nearby pole and leaning my head against it sideways as I remember Shreyan.

"Annu," I addressed him sternly, as he kept throwing away the outfits I chose for Deva's bachelorette party. "You can't be serious!"
