I stretch my arms out opening my eyes wide and I suddenly wince with the pain shot in between my legs.

The pain makes me remind of our night. Our. Shreyan made it so memorable and I realized how beautiful I am for the first time. I blush, remembering his intense gaze taking in my every detail.

He didn't just make love, he promised me a bright future of ours.

“How was it?” Shreya Aunty's voice trails my thoughts and I stop smiling. She is cladded in a beautiful saree and sipping her coffee. Suddenly I remember her question and I wriggle my eyebrows, “Sleep?” she corrects herself.

I blush, “It was the most peaceful night I ever had, Aunty,” I sit up and tie my hair in a bun. “Intense gaze...of the moonlight, the silent breaths...of waves, tender kisses...of wind, warm and loving arms...of nature,” I say about my night, “I felt to have it every night.”

She smiles at me and places her cup on the table. Walking towards me, she sits on my bed, “Where were you in the morning?” she asks.

I look down and close my eyes. “I went to watch the sunrise,” I repeat what Shreyan instructed me.

“But I thought you were in Shreyan's room,” she says, “Candle lights. Rose flowers. Vanilla scent. Reddish and purple hickeys.”

I immediately pull my hair down from the bun. She winks and laughs. I smile with a blush and tuck my hair strands behind my ear.

She pinches my chin between her fingers and makes me look at her, “You look so adorable,” she kisses my forehead.

“We are sorry,” I mumble, “We behaved like love-sick teenagers.”

She sighs, “It's your personal and I don't want to talk about it. I was just teasing you back then. But I would like to tell you something, never overlook traditions,” she says calmly.

I nod and hug her, “We thought you will be mad at me,” I mumble.

“Well, I was,” she says, “but come on, it's personal and you both are in love.”

I laugh at the way she quotes Shreyan's words and tells me he how was caught.

Mom walks to us and smiles, “I am happy for you,” I lean on her chest and smile, “But I still don't like your husband.”

I and Shreya Aunty laugh.

“I wish Ridha was here, Mom,” I snuggle into her neck and she caresses my hair, “I am scared of what Vansh might be doing to her to take revenge on us.”

Mom wipes her tears, “Everything will be fine. God is always on both my daughters' sides,” just like every mother prays, she says.

Suddenly, the door bursts open and Riya walks in screaming, “Mom. Shre and sister-in-law made love sneaking on us...” She looks at me and trails off.
