"Excellent job Romana! I am pleased to inform you that the company accepted your story" Adrianna squealed at the other end excited that I'm being considered as a working candidate at Scottsdale.

I can't say that I wasn't excited too but the grounds on which it happened wasn't anything to be happy about.

I just hope this gives Zues and Veronica the justice they deserve.

"Thank you Adrianna" I mumbled, she sighed on the other end knowing that I was in a glum mood.

"Hey don't be sad, you did the right thing... Who knows he could've done the same thing to you or worse, threaten you to keep your mouth shut and move on to the next victim... Don't feel bad Eros deserves what's coming to him and if I'd known I wouldn't have sent you there" I nodded as if she could see me.

"I know..." Was all I managed to get out.

"Look, just get some rest and let Scottsdale do the rest I'm sure they'll hire you as this is a brilliant story" the thought of it made my heart skip a beat.

"Whe- when is it being published?"

"Within the next hour" I gasped lightly half expecting, I didn't think it would go out so early.

"So quick, doesn't it needs editing or something?" I asked in a panic. Adrianna only chuckled taking my sudden anxiousness as a joke.

"It's already dealt with Romana, don't worry! Your story is amazing and will do the victims good, Eros is a rich and experienced man he can handle himself...you are just starting your life so focus on that, alright" I sighed reluctantly giving in.

"Alright"

"Alright great then, I'll expect to see you at the office tomorrow?" She asked.

"Of course.."

"Good, bye bye!"

"Bye" the next hour was spent pacing the room in anticipation, all sorts of thoughts raced my mind as the impending disaster drew nearer.

My phone dinged indicating a text messages, I grabbed it up faster than usual and clicked the little icon.

Great job! Now we wait...

The message was from stacy praising me about how good my story was, imagine when it gets published.

Speaking of, I quickly opened my laptop and Instagram, refreshing everything and checking to see if any news came out about my story.

Until... An entertainment page on Instagram  popped up with the headline.

They went on to describe everything I wrote about in a very disturbing way and the comments were not better, it wasn't long after a whole lot of other pages and blog cites began posting about the breaking news.

The fall of Zues as we know it ..

They called it, I spent hours scrolling through and reading everything everyone had put up until I became sick...

It felt wrong, so wrong.. that same feeling of uncertainty came up and bike rose up in my throat at the possibility of being wrong somehow but how could I, they had proof.

He even confirmed it! Maybe you needed to hear his full side of the story before jumping and creating a whole story about him, totally unrelated to what he hired you for...he could sue me for defamation and propaganda without the permission of-

I placed my hand on my stomach and sat on the bed I wanted to faint,  I wasn't a police... I- oh no what have I done..

I grabbed the phone up and tried to call Adrianna but to no avail, I tried to call Veronica and Stacy but still no answer...

I texted and called over and over again for hours until ot finally set it, they used me so they would have no leads to them... Veronica's face wasn't in those pictures I could have easily faked them.

I've ruined both our lives because of my stupid emotions and it was too late... The last person I could was him, I scoffed the audacity of me..

Nevertheless I picked up the phone and dialed my number, with each ring my heart sank further, Until...

"Hello.." this wasn't Eros.

"Hi ah, is Eros there?" I asked in a shaky voice, the person on the other let out a sigh.

"No... I'm sorry" I single tear fell and I nodded in understanding.

"Tell him I'm sorry... I was blinded, I- please tell him"

The person scoffed, " yep" then hung up, the gesture alone broke my heart, I threw the phone across the room in frustration and buried my face in my pillow once again...
