——————————-September

I stood in the bathroom with my hands shaking so bad waiting for the timer on my phone to go off.
Me and Stephen welcomed our first daughter Riley 2 years after our wedding then our second daughter Ryan 2 years after that and 2 years after Ryan our son canon came along they were all planned but after canon Stephen said we are done, three is plenty, and planned on getting a vasectomy, he has made it clear time and time again he doesn't want a fourth even though I always said I wanted four.

But here I am taking a pregnancy test even though I already know what it's going to say, I'm pregnant, I know I am I just need the proof.
I'm terrified of telling Stephen, that's why I waited until he was out of the house before I took it, he is at canons basketball practice right now which gives me a little time to figure out what to do before he's home.
I looked down at the test that confirmed my fears. Baby number 4...

He is going to be pissed.

That's what he gets for anniversary sex on a hotel room... but I don't think he's going to see it that way.
I grabbed my phone to text Stephen asking when he was going to be home.
I can't tell if the nausea is from the baby or the fear anymore, I know he would never hit me but there's still that fear of how he's going to react... I know he loves me and loves our kids but he has made it so clear he is comfortable where he's at.

Stephen texted back saying he was about to leave the gym and my heart sped up so fast. He asked why and I had to play it off, I considered telling him over text just so I didn't have to deal with it face to face but I know how dumb that would be.

I went downstairs to where Riley and Ryan were. They had distracted themselves with a rhinestone art set thing they got for their birthdays two months ago, they never got to open them but I gave in since I needed time alone knowing this would keep them occupied.

"Are you girls ready for dinner?"
They both gave me an uninterested "mhm" their eyes never leaving their projects.

I just made frozen pizzas because I'm tired. The boys got home a few minutes before dinner was ready, Stephen walking in wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his head in the crook of my neck.
"Hey beautiful"

"Hey, how did it go?"
He looked over at our son who was running to his room with his basketball bag that was clearly too big for him, he paused for a moment.
"He's definitely having fun"

"And his playing?"

Stephen stared trying to stifle a laugh.
"He's definitely having fun" he repeated.

"Well I'm glad, that's what it's all about"

"No baby it's about winning"
I playfully smacked his arm.
"He's four Stephen!"

"That doesn't matter success is in his blood"
I rolled my eyes pushing him lightly.
I pulled the pizzas out of the oven placing them on the counter.
"Ooh, gourmet I see?"

"It was either this or cereal"

"You made the right choice"
He followed me wrapping his arms around me again and kissing my neck.
"You're awfully touchy today"

"Just wait until the kids go to bed"

"Oh, you mean after you put all three kids to bed by yourself?"
I smiled finally returning the embrace.

"It's worth it. Tonight I'm gonna give you the best two and a half minutes of your life"

"Oh wow doubling your time? How impressive"
He leaned in for a kiss before we were interrupted by the girls' annoyed screeches.
We turned to see canon with a hand full of their art supplies.
"Canon!" We yelled in unison.
Stephen walked over to the table grabbing Conan off the chair.
