"Okay Hunny we are gonna take care of you I promise," the nurse said wrapping something around her stomach.
Paige looked at Stephen with panic in her eyes.
"It's okay" he mouthed unsure if he believed himself or not.
The more work they did the more Paige closed her eyes, she was eventually laying there with her eyes closed Stephen was unsure if she was sleeping or not but two simple words made her shoot her eyes open.
"Oh no"

"Oh no"? The words kept replaying in Stephen's head over and over while he watched the nurses work frantically without saying a word.
One of the nurses ran to get a doctor while Paige laid there almost unconscious.
"Okay Mrs. Curry we are gonna be right back"
Then all the nurses left leaving us there absolutely clueless.
"What's happening?"
"We uh... we don't know yet baby..."
Paige reaches her hand out for Stephens while laying there, even if nothing made sense at the time at least she's wasn't alone.
After what felt like an eternity the head doctor walked into the room with all kinds of folders and papers.
"Mr. And Mrs. Curry hello. I would like to apologize for the wait and confusion while my staff was working but I'm here to answer all your questions now"
Stephen nodded while Paige just laid there probably unable to hear him.
"So before we get into the problems I just need to know what all happened that made you come in? Hopefully, it can kinds fill the missing puzzle pieces"
Stephen looked over at Paige and it was clear to him she couldn't answer, but unfortunately, Stephen couldn't either.
"I honestly don't know I wasn't there when it happened"
"That's okay. From what we can see we need to send you in for an emergency c section we do fear that you've had a miscarriage... we can't seem to find a heartbeat and the amount of bleeding happening leaves us to believe that the baby has already passed..."
Steph's heart sank at his words.
His sadness quickly turned into anger.
He was mad... mad at Ayesha... mad at himself.
"We will take her in for a c section since it is not confirmed but all signs are leading to miscarriage and I am truly sorry"
He nodded not wanting to speak or else he would cry.
"Okay so we need you to get into some scrubs and I will send in some nurses to prep Mrs. Curry for surgery and we will head in there. Does that sound okay?"
"Yes sir"
Once the doctor left the room Stephen walked over to Paige, he ran his fingers through her hair while she laid there unaware that she just lost her first child. It broke his heart.
"Hey, my love..."
She only slightly opened her eyes to his voice.
She was weak and tired, he assumed it was from the blood loss.
But either way, he couldn't stand to see her laying here like this, helpless.
