Elissa's P.O.V
It's only been a couple weeks since Stephen and I welcomed our second baby girl into the world. Tomorrow is a big day for our family because it's our first day going to church as a family of 4 and that's pretty exciting. We put Riley (2) to bed and Ryan is asleep in her Bassinet next to me and Stephen. It's oddly calm for the first time in while and I'm hoping that it can stay that way until tomorrow.
"Not to stress you out or anything but I am terrified for tomorrow." Stephen admitted laying next to me.
"Well that is unsettling" I chuckled.
"I believe we have good kids...most the time. And I know you always have everything under control but there is just that little part of me that knows something will go wrong tomorrow"
"Oh I 100% believe you're right but you gotta at least have a good attitude."
"I know I know."
"But we should go to bed because for the first time in days both of our kids are asleep at the same time" i emphasized knowing what a miracle this was.
"Yea probably. I love you" Stephen said before he kissed me.
"I love you too"
The night went well Ryan woke up about 3 times through the night which was pretty good for her, she is not a fan of us getting sleep.
It was 7 am and Stephen is sleeping peacefully I'm bed next to Riley because she decided to join us at about 4 am and we can't say no to that adorable face. I can't help but admire what is in front of me and feel like the luckiest person in the world. Riley started stirring around as I walked over to get Ryan out of her bassinet. Our day usually starts at about 6:15 or 6:30 but if she was gonna sleep in I won't be the one to stop her, especially since Steph has a game tonight so it will be a late night for all of us. I took Ryan and sat in the chair in the corner of the room and fed her waiting for the rest of my family to get up, the first go join the party was Steph. He got out of bed pointed at me and said "good morning. I'll be back for you in a minute" and then walked into the bathroom I chuckled at is weirdness. Me and Ryan were just chilling scrolling through my phone seeing what the world was up to on Instagram. I took a video of my self hiding the baby and boob sticking out as I flipped the camera to show Riley sleeping taking over the whole bed and put Riley's favorite quote "I'm way up I feel blessed" and posted it my story. After I was done I put my phone down and Stephen walked out "good morning beautiful" he said as he leaned down to kiss me.
"Hi handsome" I smiled. I can't be the only girl to full in crush on their husband?? He walks out shirtless and I'm like yesss honey. It is no secret why we have two kids... I don't think it's a bad thing to love your own husband go for it it's not illegal.
"Want me to wake up Riley or let the dog watch her while we are gone?" He joked.
"That's a tough decision but i think You should probably wake her up"
"Ugh fine" he said rolling his eyes "you never let the dog have his moment" I laughed as he walked over to our bed to wake her.
"Hey princess we gotta get up" he shook her tiny body.
"No thank you" Stephen looked back at me not sure where to go from there.
"Well at least she has manners" I laughed.
"That's it shes the dogs problem" he said walking away to go get dressed.
"Baby come get your daughter" I couldn't stop laughing at this dork.
"NO!"
I rolled my eyes "oh Ryan what are we gonna do with those two" she was slowly falling asleep so I waited to move her into her bassinet. Stephen came back in with a little more confidence this time "I think I got this. Riley you need to wake up" she groaned and turned away from him "baby" he whined to me whole pointing at Riley. "Riley Brielle get up" she sat up immediately and looked at me.
I just laughed knowing how upset Stephen was. "Okay what child would you like to get ready?" I asked at my husband who could easily be mistaken for a toddler right now.
"Give me the new one I can't work with that one anymore"
"Stephen that's your child"
"Well she doesn't love me anymore"
"You're being ridiculous"
He shrugged and walked over to get Ryan from me, she was almost asleep when he picked her up so she started crying immediately.
"Do any of my children not hate me?" I couldn't stop laughing at the whole thing.
"Okay we need to get ready tho we have to leave soon"
"I don't even know if I want to go anymore" he said dramatically
"You'll get over it" I told him standing up to get Riley.
"Okay baby girl let's go get you clean" she was not having it this morning she just wanted to sleep and I understand that but it has to be done. As she was in the bath while I was doing my makeup she was clean but just playing around at this point once I finished my makeup I looked at my hair and said screw it, it was already straight so it didn't look too bad. Stephen has been struggling with Ryan all morning I could hear him in her nursery while I was getting ready. Poor man was so close to being done before he got pooped on. Once I finished my makeup I had Stephen come get Riley out of the tub while I got Ryan dressed, at this point if I didn't she would be in church naked so it was for the best. I got Ryan dressed and she had on the biggest bow she just looked so cute she was falling asleep so I put her in her car seat and Stephen came on and started swinging her to get her to fall asleep. Riley was all dressed up and looked adorable I was the only one not dressed so I quickly went upstairs to change. I was up there for not even a minute when I could hear Stephen yelling at Riley not to make a mess, a little part of me didn't want to go back downstairs.....
After what felt like forever we finally made it to church I walked over and got Riley while Stephen got Ryan, she was sound asleep.
We walked Riley to her Sunday school room and went out to meet with Stephens parents.
"So how was your first Sunday getting ready with two kids?" Stephens mom asked.
Me and Stephen both turned to look at her as Stephen said "let's not talk about it"
