Chapter 33: Big Boss

Bang Chan's POV:

Ami being gone on tour with The Boyz really shows the hole she has left in me as well as my members. The time difference makes it hard to communicate with her, but we're trying our hardest. She really added a lot to our group in the time we've been together. I find myself looking at photos of us and just her when I'm missing her. My members even talk about her at random times. Right when she comes back from her tour, we'll be going on our own tour. I know we'll just barely miss each other.

I've come to the decision that I want to tell JYP about my relationship with Ami. I don't know how I'll explain everything, but I don't want to hide it from him anymore. I think it would be best if he knew just in case anything happens. I know this will complicate things, but I think my career is solid enough that me going through a dating "scandal" won't hurt the group as much as people think it would. And I'm confident in my relationship with Ami that we'll be able to push through any hate that could come out way.

Now, I've had this conversation with Ami several times and she doesn't mind letting my company know about us dating. Technically, her company knows she's dating someone who is an idol, but not necessarily who it is. They didn't ask any further questions as she has proven her loyal to the company as well as The Boyz. She had told me to do what I think is best and she trusts me to make the right decisions. That's a lot for me, but I want to make sure I do right by her. I already told her that I was going to do it while she's on tour and she was okay with that.

We finally have a couple of days off so I schedule a meeting with JYP. Thankfully he's available on one of the days we have off so I can talk to him. We are both very busy people so it's hard to be able to come together when we can.

I travel up to JYP's office from my recording room at my scheduled time. I wait for a sign to come in and I hear JYP's voice beckoning me in. I walk in to see him behind his desk. I walk over and sit in front of his desk.

"Bang Chan, what do I owe to this meeting?" JYP asks politely, a smile on his face. "You don't really schedule meetings with me. It's usually the other way around since you're so busy."

"There's something I need to tell you and it's serious," I state looking him in the eyes. His smile slowly disappears and he's just as serious as I am. "I want you to hear me out before you start asking me questions."

"Okay, Chan. I am all ears."

"Okay. Well, I'm dating this girl. And we've been dating for half a year now. And we're serious. Very serious. And she works for The Boyz, she's a pseudo-manager for them. And I wanted to tell you about her just incase anything ever comes out. You deserve to know before any media says anything. She's a lovely girl and she even has a positive effect on my members. They have met her and they love her. She's like a Noona to them. And while I don't want to go public with her, I want you know about her incase anything happens. Which nothing should be happening or will be happening any time soon. We've been very careful with where we spend our time. And we've made sure that we are unrecognizable every time we go out in public. I am serious about this girl and nothing will stop me from being with her."

JYP sits in silence for a moment. He laces his hands in front of his face and has a contemplative look across his face. We sit in silence for what feels like forever. I can't tell what emotion he has on his face. I wish I knew what he was thinking, but I am standing my ground incase things go wrong.

"I have one question for you, Bang Chan," JYP states as he sits back in his chair. "Do you love her?"

"I do, sir," I answer him as sincerely and as honestly as I can. "I really do."

"Well, while I can't stop you from loving someone and you do not currently have a dating ban, I can't guarantee that this will be easy for you. You know how it is for idols who are caught dating. I appreciate you letting me know on your own accord. I'm sure it took a lot to admit this to me. There is more I'd like to talk to you about as you have raised more questions for me."

"I will answer any questions you have for me."

"Where did you meet this girl?"

"I accidentally met her in a cafe while we were on break before our NOEASY comeback."

"Okay. Did she know you were an idol when you met her?"

"No, she was under the impression that I was working in the music industry but not as an idol. It took some time for me to admit to her that I am an idol."

"Okay. How is she a pseudo-manager for The Boyz?"

"She didn't have a titled position with The Boyz until recently under their company merger. She is a pseudo-manager as she is not the sole manager of the group, but she provide moral support and help when needed while on schedule with them."

"Ah. Does she understand that there is a conflict of interest as she is works within the Kpop industry?"

"Yes. She has been within the Kpop industry prior to The Boyz's debut so she understands the industry quite well. She does keep her work life separate from her romantic relationship. She has nothing to gain by knowing things about me or this company. She does nothing to infer that she wants to abuse our relationship due to me being an idol. She is completely supportive of my career as an idol."

"Does her company know that she is currently dating an idol from a different company?"

"As far as I have knowledge of, the immediate staff have limited knowledge of her being in a relationship with an idol, but they have not questioned her about who it is as it is not one the idols she works with. They are respecting her private life as her position within the company is more personal rather than professional."

"Very interesting. Am I able to meet the girl that has you with stars in your eyes?"

"Currently she is on tour with The Boyz and, unfortunately, by the time she will come back from their tour, we will start our own world tour as well. It will be some time before we are both back in Seoul at the same time."

"Well, may I at least see the girl and know her name as well?"

"Of course. Her name is Choi Ami. And here is the most recent photo I have of her."

I pull out my phone and I will up a photo I took of her before she left on tour. She's sitting on her couch surround by the SKZOOs in one of my hoodies. She's smiling at the camera holding Wolf Chan to her cheek. It's actually my Home Screen as I can't make her my Lock Screen just in case. I turn my phone to JYP. He observe the photo for a moment before smiling.

"She's beautiful. Almost idol worthy," JYP comments casually. "I see she's a fan of the SKZOOs."

"She loves them," I reply back, putting my phone away. "She brought Wolf Chan on tour with her so she'll have a little piece of me with her."

"Well, when the chance comes, I want to have a meeting with you and her. I won't stop you from being with her. I'm all for you being in love. As long as you stay safe and let me or your manager know when you're going to be doing anything with her, dates or hang outs. Which you should probably discuss your relationship with your manager soon."

"Thank you, sir. I grately appreciate your approval and support. Ami means a lot to me and I am very lucky to have her in my life."

"Love will do that to you. I'm glad to see you so happy and in love. You seem happier and not as serious as you used to be and I can see why. She's has a good effect on you. I look forward to the day I'll be able to meet this lovely girl."

"Thank you, sir. I hope to bring her to meet you soon. Thank you again, sir."

"Just keep the love strong, kid. As long as your love is strong, you'll be to get through anything."

"Thank you, sir."
