Chapter 40: Boss Meeting

"What if he doesn't like me? What if he tells me to break up with Channie? What if he tells me that I can't hang out with you guys at your dorms? What if I ruin your whole career with me dating Channie?" I ramble as I pace back and forth in front of Felix.

I'm hiding out in his room till Bang Chan tells me that we need to leave for our meeting with JYP. Stray Kids have a couple of days of rest before they have to fly back out to do another stop in Japan for their world tour. And JYP happened to have some time available to meet with us. I don't even know what's going to happen during this meeting. It scares me and I want to be Little so bad, but I know I can't. The stress is really getting to me. I stayed up all of last night baking cookies for JYP and because I couldn't sleep.

"Noona, everything will be fine," Felix tries to reassure me. He stops me from pacing a whole into his floor as he gently grabs my shoulders. "He wouldn't have helped fly you out to surprise Bang Chan and us in America during our tour if he didn't like you. He hasn't even met you and he's already doing nice things for you and Bang Chan. That says a lot about how he feels about you already. You have nothing to worry about."

"But what if it's a trap? Like he's nice in the beginning so we let our guard down and then tells us to break up and banishes me to some remote island up north."

"Noona, now you're being ridiculous. I don't think he has the power to 'banish you to a remote island up north.' He's not even that mean anyways. He actually has a soft side. So I think you'll be fine. And you'll have Channie Hyung with you. He'll defend you if it ends up being a trap. Which it won't be! You're pretty much just introducing yourself to JYP and I'm sure you'll talk about ways to make sure you don't expose your relationship by accident. Which you guys have been great about when it comes to hiding from the public."

Suddenly there is a knock at the door. Felix tells the person to come in and it's Bang Chan. He's been at his dorm finishing some beats for a upcoming comeback. Felix took it upon himself to keep me entertained while I wait for Bang Chan to finish up and tell me that we're heading the company building.

"It's time to head to the company, baby," Bang Chan announces. He gives me an assuring smile and I give him a weak one back.

"Channie, what if it's a trap?!" I cry out to him as I rush up to him.

Bang Chan looks alarmed as he notices the frantic look on my face. He takes my face in his hands and gives me a soft peck in my forehead. "Calm down, baby girl. It's not a trap. JYP just wants to meet you and go over some safety precautions with the two of us. And I'm sure he'll ask some questions to get to know you. You have nothing to worry about."

"Told you so!" Felix calls out to us. "Don't worry so much, Noona. It'll be okay. I'm sure he'll like you immediately."

"I guess so," I murmur softly as I nestle my face into Bang Chan's hands. "I just want everything to go well."

"And it will. Now, let's head over to the company. Han Hyung is waiting for us down stairs."

We bid Felix good bye as we head out. We gear up in black masks and matching black bucket hats. Bang Chan leaves the building first making sure to watch out for any fans who could be around. I follow behind him after a few minutes later doing the same thing. We make our way to the JYP company building. Bang Chan is reassuring me as much as he can while I'm a little stressed about the whole situation. I want JYP to like me. I want him to approve of our relationship. It's pretty evident that he's supportive with what he's done so far, but that doesn't mean I'm in the clear. The stress is getting to me and I just want to slip so bad. Bang Chan promises me I could spend time being in my Little Space when we get back to his dorm, but that doesn't comfort me much.

When we arrive at the company, we enter through their private garage so no one will be able to see us. I follow Bang Chan as he leads us to JYP's office. I hold onto his hand out of nervousness. Bang Chan greets people on the way up and they greet him back politely. They give me a nod of acknowledgment, probably sensing that I wasn't in the right state to talk. Once we get to the office, Bang Chan knocks on the door and we wait to be allowed in. Once we are given permission, we walk right in.

JYP is sitting at his desk with his laptop in front of him. Once he sees us, he stops his work and closes his laptop. He gets up and from around his desk to greet us. He shakes Bang Chan's hand and offers a hand shake to me as well. As I shake his hand, I give a deep bow.

"It's nice to finally meet you, Ami," JYP greets me with a smile.

"It's an honor to meet you, sir," I address him softly. After I let go of his hand, I offer the bag I've been holding into since we left the dorms. "I made you cookies!"

"Well aren't you the sweetest? That wasn't necessary."

"I didn't want to come to this meeting empty handed, sir."

"Well I appreciate the kind gift. Why don't we sit down and have a chat? Please, sit. We have a lot to talk about."
