Jisoo

I've attended tons of classes in this lifetime, but I have never been so excited like today. History class. Seeing him. It was just a brief message that we will meet again but it feels like it fueled all my veins to come to school.

I looked again at my full length mirror, like it's more than five times I changed my outfit before I decided to fit myself in a plain white blouse under a long sleeve white coat and black pleated skirt, my hair on loose. I made one complete turn before I left my room. Mom and Uncle are already downstairs, mom about to leave with her doctor coat on her arms, and uncle making breakfast. I grabbed a toast from the table, a few bites of it and I grabbed another one, gulping the freshly brewed coffee uncle poured on my cup. I finished my breakfast hurriedly and before uncle could mutter any word, I was out of his sight. Drive to school had never been as exciting as today.

I was walking nervously towards the school building when Jinyoung, my classmate, walked side by side with me, his emerald eyes gawking at me.

"Hi." He said in a happy tone. Behind us were Lisa and Jack, his siblings. I actually had an idea already of "what" they are, I was just curious on "why" they approached me. I couldn't hear any heartbeat from the three of them, making my suspicions stronger. Lisa held me in my arms. "Do you want to come with us for lunch? Jinyoung's treat." She smiled. I shook my head. "I have plans."

And I lied.

I don't want to meddle with whatever business they have. Uncle and mom are enough "different" breeds to handle, and of course myself. My sharp eyes could see how Lisa's eyes rolled more than 360 degrees I guess, and Jinyoung's now flat line lip. I could hear Jackson chuckling at the back. We all stepped inside our classroom and I looked around, Haein not yet inside. I sank on my seat, nervously waiting for him.

Why in the world are you nervous, Jisoo?

My head turned automatically when I heard a voice talking, the girl with the blonde hair always sitting next to him and then another guy. Our eyes met again, and he nodded at me. My eyes could see Go Eun and Soobin's deadly glare. Our class was about to start when the professor Nam spoke. "Ms. Kim, the dean was looking at you. About what happened on the rooftop. You are excused."

I am unable to move at the moment, until our professor spoke again. I could see Go Eun and Soobin's face went pale, their eyes almost begging. How will I handle this? I am too bad at lying. Haein looked at me as I passed by his seat. The girl beside him elbowed her.

The dean's office was just 2 classrooms away from our history class. The dean was expecting me to come and usher me to sit but I remained standing in front of his table.

"Miss Kim," he started, as my hand fidgeted in front. "I heard about the bullying incident that happened on the rooftop. Our school won't tolerate one, so tell me what happened that day." The dean prompted.

I don't want this. This will draw more attention towards me. "Sir, I—"

"Sir."

A voice interrupted me, and I saw the dean's brows arched higher. "Who are you, why are you here?"

I don't need to look back to know who he is. I could feel him beside me now, and I almost jumped when he silently held my fidgeting hand, hardly pressing it against his warm palm. My heart didn't calm in any freaking way, he made it in a more chaotic state.

"We were together that day on the rooftop." Haein started explaining to the dean. My head moved sideways. Of course that's a lie and I don't want him to lie for me but he held my hand tighter. "We are…. alone on the rooftop. We were playing some music and she was dancing onto it when she stumbled. It was an accident. I grabbed her just right in time."

The dean gave us a questioning look. "You mean the two of you are dating on the rooftop?"

My face blushed. Us dating? My head looked down, looking at our locked hands. "Yes Sir." He answered confidently. My head trembled, now not because of the dean's question, but because of Haein. "Is it true Miss Kim? That you are dating him on the rooftop?"

Haein raised our hands, and the dean stifled a laugh. I bit my lip in disbelief. This will draw more attention though. The dean stood up and dismissed us.

We left the dean's office and walked back to our history class. "You owe me a lunch Miss Kim." He whispered to me in a playful tone.

"Are you asking me out?" I hit back and he just smirked.

The moment we entered the classroom, murmurs and endless teasing erupted. Too late for me to realize that his hand is still holding mine from the dean's room up until we reached the classroom. I'm withdrawing my hand back when he slightly pulled it. His head bent, his lips almost brushing on my earlobes. I almost shivered when his calm voice vibrated in my ear. "Lunch, yes."

He sat on his chair and I walked back on my seat, the class all eyes on me. The professor poke me a teasing look too. On the side, I could see Jinyoung's face crumpled, Lisa annoyed and Jack laughing again.

Lunch date with him? Yes, it's a date.

He was casually leaning at the wall outside my classroom waiting for my last class today. He is in his usual black pants, white shirt, black cap.

Does he even have any set of clothes?

Only to laugh at myself internally. I'm wearing white top, black skirt. We will really look like we talk about what we are going to wear today on a white and black theme.

"Hi," I whispered shyly as I approached him. His eyes. His damn freaking eyes are so mesmerizing and I am always drawn to them like magnets. He's looking back at me, not taking his eyes away.

"You have beautiful eyes." He whispered to me as I took one step, our gaps closer.

I could feel butterflies lurking in my stomach, for the first time in my entire existence.

We walked on the school hallway, eyes watching our every move. I was right, being with him would drag me to a watchlist in the campus rather than the bullying incident, but I couldn't care less. I actually don't give a fuck right now.

"Any place you wanted to try here in Seoul?" he asked as we approached the school parking lot. I smiled with a thought in mind.

"Yes." Spicy ramen and samgyup popped into my mind. We left the campus, multiple pairs of eyes watching us.
