Bangla Walking Street, we found ourselves in the middle of the busiest road in Phuket, the heart of Phuket nightlife. Haein's words earlier echoed in me.

It was still four in the afternoon and though the road is known for nightlife activities, it's already filled with a lot of tourists. Single, in groups, couples. We blended among hundreds of tourists roaming around Phuket. Some came to relax, others came for a tour, a few wanted to forget. To us, it was an escape. A temporary escape from the reality we were about to face in the next few days. 

If we were like ordinary people just like the rest of them.

We came here after our lunch at a random restaurant, a quick stroll on a beach, and a little window shopping at several boutiques. I saw him buying something from a local jewelry shop but I did not bother to ask what he bought.

Haein pulled my hand as we stormed the crowded area. The street stretched from the beach, and was surrounded by a lot of clubs, bars and restaurants. 

"I thought you hated noise? Are you into bars and clubs?" I curiously asked
