Haein
The huge sun illuminated the skyline reflecting an almost sea of fire. It was nearly lunch time, but the sun really looked weird today. I slouched on the rooftop floor, and leaned my back on the side wall of the rooftop, away from everyone's gaze. A lot of students are going here on top, and I was able to find my own spot, away from everyone's scrutiny. But today, I am alone.
As I closed my eyes, I heard loud footsteps. Five men and two ladies popped through the rooftop door, laughing. The girls were familiar. My history classmates. They won't notice that I'm here, so I just decided not to leave. I was about to stick my headset on my ears when I heard more footsteps. And a familiar voice.
"Do we really have to go up here?" The voice is coming nearer. "I don't think Jinyoung needs-"
The two girls pushed her and closed the rooftop door. The girl exhaled heavily. Jisoo.
A hot breeze blew, and some of her hair covered her beautiful face, which made the men gasped. Looking at her slyly. This is just not a good feeling.
The girls, Go Eun and Soobin waved at her and signalled her to come closer. Jisoo went towards the exit door, but it was locked on the other end. She faced them again, Soobin holding door keys. No way out for her.
"Come here Jisoo, join us." Go Eun announced. One of the men fished out a cigarette and lit it. One of the men wrapped his arms around Soobin, and licked his lips as he looked at Jisoo. My mood and instinct shifted immediately. I know and I could sense danger in my human form, and my immortal guts are telling me the same. I could feel my claws or my fangs popping out anytime soon.
I squinted more when Soobin came closer. Jisoo's face never showed fear, which makes me abhor more, not for her but for these disgusting human creatures. Should I just bite all of them and drink their blood?
"What do you need from me?" Jisoo asked.
Soobin dragged her closer to her gang. The men gave her a more lustful look. My urge to jump on them one by one in my werewolf form, but that would scare the entire campus. I stayed alert for her.
"You are too pretty, Jisoo. Do you know that? Too pretty, it is soooooo exasperating." Soobin stated. "What about we scratched that beautiful face of yours?"
Jisoo sighed heavily. I will be in trouble. Jisoo told herself.If they see me bleed and regenerate instantly, they will think I am a monster. She tried to calm herself. "I did not do anything wrong to you."
Two men stood up and held her on the side. I am literally clenching my fist now.
Soobin fished out a small knife. "What if we scratched that face. So boys will stop their admiration of you."
