Haein

I've asked Mingue and Nini's help to watch over Jisoo's house. And call me in case they'll start looking for her.

An hour before Jisoo and my birthday. And my heart is thumping so fast.

I'm nervously tapping my feet as I wait for her to sneak out from their house. My hands were all cold. I held my elf necklace, which is freely hanging on my neck.

My elf necklace. The one that's hiding my elf power from the Netherworld and the Upperworld. The gift the Queen Elf had given to me for my protection.

For the past 8 decades I am wearing this, it was only twice I had used them. Because apart from possibly draining my strength, the chance that both worlds will determine my existence is very high. And that will be too risky. The first time I tried was out of curiosity and what is the extent of my elf power. The second one was when I saved Jisoo on the rooftop.

I had to stop the time from moving. The only way I could catch her.

And for the 3rd time, I am using my elf power to make impossible things possible, just for her. Her two wishes.

Both will be coming true tonight.

My mind was drifting so far that I didn't realize she's already by my side. She playfully pinched my side to get my attention.

"They are already sleeping. Where are we going?"

I gave her a peck. "Fulfilling your wish."

I am expecting her laughter to burst when we head to a familiar place. Seoul Forest Park. She's been teasing me since we get out of the car.

"We are celebrating our birthdays here?" She's not mad. More of teasing me. "How are we going to get in?"

"Sneaking in." She gave another hearty laugh.

"Are you a thief or what? You asked me to sneak out from my house and now we are sneaking in here. Make sure this is all worthy."

We crossed the low fence of the forest park as we sneak inside. I checked my clock, 10 more minutes. It was nearly midnight, and the pavement of the park was empty. It was just me and her.

"You are not thinking of any prank Haein?" Jisoo asked me again. I faced her walking backwards, staring at her face. "Not a prank."

"Liar. The wishes I told you will never happen in real life. What's your surprise then?" She countered back. I continued to walk backwards knowing I won't bump anyone. We are close to that part of the forest park.

She stopped walking when I halted. Two more minutes. She was standing in the middle of the pavement of the cherry blossom area. The lights were illuminating the pavement, a long line of green trees on the side just aligned with the lights.
