Haein

How could I answer her? I cannot give her an answer now.

That what we had isn't like in a fairy tale that we will literally have a happily ever after.

Because all my worries now are about the rising of the red moon. That means the Elder would get her no matter what. Whether I brought her to him or someone will bring her other than me. But whatever ways, it all boils down to one, danger

Her life is in danger. And I had to slowly let her know so she would understand. One step of knowing who I am and fitting her in the background, until she fully knows. Every single thing. How she is feared by the vampire clans because of her blood, my mission, the Elder, the prophecies. I can't tell all things in one go. Slowly, just taking it slow.

"So how was it? Seeing what I can do?" I asked. Her head is now leaning on my shoulders, our hands locked. I could feel she wanted to ask more, but she held back.

"Unbelievable. I am so envious, especially your elf power. Can't you transfer your power to me?"

I cackled at her remark. We've gone this far. Talking about our abilities. She asked again.

"Do you want to see my abilities? Like my quick healing. I can roll on this cliff and I will still be alive."

I pressed my lip in a thin line. "No, you are not going to do that."

"What about I made a cut on my arm—

"Definitely NO! Are you seriously wanting me to see blood? See you bleeding? See you hurt?" I don't know if my voice was mad or annoyed but she still laughed.

She stopped but her smiles are so playful I knew she's up to more.

"So what's inside your backpack? And why the clothes?"

I pressed another thin line on my lip. I hoped she would never notice my bag but she did.

"Just for an emergency." I muttered but of course, she didn't believe me.

"Do you want us to go down?" I pointed her to the pond and falls area, trying to change the topic.

"Hmmm." Not me getting nervous with a hum. "How are we getting there?"

"Like earlier. Quick movements." I countered.

"Nope, I have an idea. I wanted to ride on your back."

"Piggy back ride?" My brows creased. Her weird choices

"Nope!"

"How then?" She gave me a cute smile. And I know she's up for crazier thoughts.

"I wanted to see your werewolf form."

Oh. I am totally right packing up a bag.

"Are you sure about this?"

"Yes." She whispered excitedly.

"Hold my bag, and never ever freak out once I am back to human form, deal?" Her eyes squinted.

"What's with back in human form for me to freak out?

"You'll see."

I gave her my necklace before I stepped backward.

I let out a loud growl and she moved back surprised when I transformed from human to wolf form. I walked closer to her and she froze on her stand. She patted my head and slightly brushed my hair with her palm.
