Chapter 34 - Sneak

Italy 2022

"I can never be wrong. That's what an elf is doing." The Elder grunted. Elves are known to be powerful with their controls over earth's main elements. 

"What is an elf doing here with the mortals?" 

"This happened in Korea, Elder. We can check with the shape shifter."

"Check it with him. And let him roam around to know why an elf's blood lives with the mundane."

"Ok Elder."

Phoenix and elves. The most powerful bloodlines. 

The phoenixes were wiped out. And nobody would dare to touch the elves. 

Unknownst to all, the prophecies being told are happening one by one. 

As each clan had their own interpretations of the prophecy, little they know they are pushing it more to happen. 

They met when they shouldn't. Their paths crossed. And the more they intervened, the more it was bound to happen. 

Jisoo's phoenix blood. Haein's elf blood. They will collide. As one.

Picking up the call. 

J: Why did you call? 
H: Just maximising the hours before our birthday ends. 
J: (chuckles) Now I understand why you have that grandpa vibe. 
H: Grandpa? Really. 
J: Yeah. Old soul. Old vibe. 
H: I am not old. 
J: I can't say otherwise. (chuckles(
H: I can't sneak into your room right now, can I? 
J: (Laughing) You can't. 
H: I can. 
J: No. 
H: Jisoo. 
J: Hmmm. 
H: I'm happy. I'm so happy right now. 

Silence. 

J: Can I ask questions? 
H: What is it? 
J: I want to ask it personally. 
H: Are you asking me to come over? 
J: No. (gasps) I mean a day with me. I want to see what you can do. Just like what you did with the cherry blossoms. 
H: Are you sure? We can't do that in usual parks though. It had to be far. 
J: How far?
H: Beyond mortals reach. 
J: Weekend?
H: No. I'm planning to introduce you to my parents on the weekend. 
J: Are you in a hurry or what? We have a lifetime you know. 
H: I know. But still. 
J: I can't introduce you to mom yet. 
H: No pressure. I can always wait. (silence) I wanted to see you now. Where are you? 
J: My room. 
H: Window.

Jisoo stood up and started looking around. 

H: Extreme left.

Jisoo's sharp vision saw his figure afar, holding his phone. 

J: I can see you clearly here.
H: Same. I could quickly be there in a snap. 
J: Stay there. 
H: I wanted to hold you close. (deep sigh) 
J: (leans forward and send a flying kiss) 
H: Seriously. (chuckling) 
J: Catch that.

Both of them are laughing. 

H: So about our one day. When should we go? 
J: (biting her lip, grinning) Hmmm. 
H: What is it? 
J: I can cut classes again, you know. 
H: (laughs) 
J: I attended a lot of college classes in my life. "A day out" isn't bad. 
H: I am a very bad influence to you. 
J: Yes you are. 

Silence. 

H: So tomorrow it is? 
J: Yes. Should I bring anything? 
H: Clothes. Extra clothes. 
J: Why would I bring extra clothes? 
H: You said you wanted to see what I can do. 
J: And what's with the clothes? 
H: You'll find out tomorrow. 
J: Nothing weird. 
H:I'm looking here afar but I could feel you blushing, all the way here. 
J: And I can see you here giggling.
H: Scary eyes. (Jisoo laughs) 
J: Should I bring my car? 
H: Definitely No. 
J: I can't wait until tomorrow. 

Haein disappeared in her sight. She turned around but nearly jumped out when she felt someone behind her.

Haein. 

She sucked a low breath when she felt his hands on her shoulder, his lips brushing the base of her nape, giving her fluttering sensations all over. Turning around, he caught her waist pulling her close. "Really so fast." Jisoo whispered to him, pinching his nose. He caught her lip quickly, giving a long smooch, leaving her breathless.

"Tomorrow."

Haein answered back. Jisoo watched his every quick move away from their house, leaving her dumbfounded and flustered. He really loves sneaking in. 

Tomorrow. Hoping for many more tomorrows for them.
