Jihyo smiled upon reading her daughter's last message. Her daughter grew up happily despite their circumstances.
She put down her phone when a lady sat on the chair across from her. The lady offered her hand. "Rose, after years of searching for you, we finally met." Jihyo was hesitant to reach for her hand so she put hers down. "It's okay, I did not expect a warm welcome especially if you are meeting someone from a clan that killed your husband."
Jihyo snarled automatically. Joon. "But I am definitely not free from that group and will never be." Rose sighed. She looked at her intently. "Your daughter is as pretty as you."
"How did you know about her?"
"And her phoenix blood? The only existing creature bearing the strongest blood both in the Netherworld and the Upper World."
"Have you heard about the story of the twins? Kay and Jay. Vision and prophecy?" Rose asked, leaning her back on the chair.
"A bit. The Elder and the Council executed them because those are not true." Jihyo replied. Rose shook her head laughing. "The twins are still alive. The Elder kept them for a long time." Jihyo was surprised, but still confused. What does it have to do with Jisoo? She asked herself.
"And the twins are seeing prophecies. And the last vision that they saw, they hid it from the Elder, the only reason why your daughter is still not in danger. And it was bound to be revealed on the upcoming days."
"Why would I believe you Rose? How did you know all of this?" Jihyo could trust no one. Especially if it's about Jisoo's phoenix blood.
"Because I am from Helena's bloodline, the twin's aunt. I can see visions too. And I can also see the twins in my visions. On how they are hidden by the Elder from the council by declaring they are already dead. On how they hid the fourth prophecy. On how I see your daughter. I can only see a few. I saw them on the last rise of the amber moon. And it's been years. It has been easier to locate you now with the modern age, to warn you, and to help you."
"Why would I trust you with our lives?" Jihyo stood up but Rose spoke again.
fireblood that could weaken
fireblood could strengthen
a war of two clans
a double blade sword
a harm to one
and a saviour to another
Fireblood. That's Jisoo's blood.
War, there will be a war between clans.
And your daughter's blood will be their weapons.
Her blood will empower one of them, the other will be weakened.
You don't know how powerful her blood is.
Her power doesn't just rely on physical strength but much beyond that.
That even the Elder would fear.
Jihyo turned back. "My daughter's blood?"
"Your daughter might not have physical strengths like phoenixes or vampires. But there are things that went beyond that. A weapon stronger than you could imagine."
"The Elder had always feared the Phoenixes. The reason why the entire bloodline was gone. The twins had a vision of a phoenix blood killing the Elder. So he commanded his army vampires to kill the Phoenixes secretly. The Council is not aware of this. There could have been war within the Netherworld. The Elder only wanted power. Anyone that's a hindrance along the way will get killed. Anyone against his power."
Jihyo could not speak. For years he had tried ways to defeat them, but she hadn't tried Jisoo's blood.
Her blood to weaken or her blood to strengthen?
War between clans? Which clans?
Rose stood up and tapped her back. "I want to avenge Helena's death, and the twins' freedom. If Jisoo is the only phoenix bloodline remaining, then she is the only key to the Elder's death. I will help in any way I can. Anytime the amber or the red moon rises, contact me. Another prophecy will arise."
Rose left Jihyo alone. There is only one way to find out. Jihyo whispered to herself. This might be it, Joon. Your death will never be put into waste.
