King's POV
I lay on the couch, thankful to finally be home when someone knocked at the door. I looked over at my uncle, who didn't even turn in his chair.
"Who's here?" I asked him.
"I guess it's time for you to mean Olivia," he said as Kiki nearly ran to the door with a big smile on her face.
"Olivia!" she yelled in excitement. "It's so great to see you back in town. Please come in."
"Hey babes, it's great to see you too," I heard the woman say as she walked inside and into the living room to greet my uncle.
The woman was slightly taller than Kiki and had dark skin that reminded me of silky milk chocolate. Her black hair looked shiny and smooth with a wavy. Black leather pants hugged her legs in the right places, and a red corset top pushed her breasts up to make them look bigger than they really were. She was gorgeous in a badass-looking way, to say the least.
She then turned to me. "Oh my. Hello, tall, red, and handsome," she said as she walked over to the couch. "And who are you?"
I started to sit up so she could sit down, but she pulled my head back down into her lap as she sat down.
"Um, it's King," I told her as she started playing with my hair.
"And where have you been hiding all my life, Mr. King?" She snapped her teeth at me as if she was going to bite me with a smile.
"Okay, okay," Uncle Ben interrupted. "This is my nephew, and I would appreciate it if you didn't try to eat him in front of me."
"No fun at all," she winked down at me.
"Okay..., I'm out," I said. She helped me slowly sit up again, which I was thankful for because my rips were screaming at me.
"Well, down to business then," Olivia began. "Boys down at the docks are working for Rex. Looks like there are trying to take over a few places and pissing many people off. Not many are doing much, though. It seems Mr. Scott is letting Rex take them over."
That stopped me as I stayed seated next to Olivia in wonder.
"Hmm, " Uncle Ben rubbed his chin. "Seem's like Mr. Scott is up to something, but we can't make a move until we know what it is. Unfortunately, those men tried to kill my nephew, and I will not stand for that. Olivia, I need you to find who those men were and bring them to the shack. No one hurts my blood and gets away with it. We will deal with Rex later."
"Mmm. I love a good hunt," Olivia purred while she leaned back and crossed her legs, making herself comfortable. "Tell me, handsome, what do you remember about the men? I want every little detail you got in that pretty head of yours," she smiled at me.
Leo's POV
The walk home after school felt much longer without King walking with me, even though I've walked that same way all my life. But it wasn't until I began walking up to the front porch that I noticed a white envelope sitting next to the door. I picked it up, thinking maybe my dad dropped it after he got the mail.
Flipping it over, I saw only my name handwritten on the front with no return address. I looked around on the street to see no one before walking inside and opening the letter.
'Can't wait to see you soon, my Leo. -Forever yours, C' was all it wrote on the white paper inside but seeing the C, I knew exactly who it was.
My heart was racing. My breathing turned into gasping. I crumpled the paper in my hands as my whole body trembled in fear. I grabbed my chest, trying to breathe.
