King's POV
The party was great. I saw Leo light up the more everyone talked with him and shared stories that didn't involve the crime we dealt with. More people showed up, including the guys who tried to rough Leo up the day he came looking for me at the house. They apologized for how they acted, and classic Leo forgave them. It had been so long since I saw a real smile on his face that it made me fall for him all over again. He was so beautiful.
But as the day grew late, I could see the tiredness in his eyes, and he kept grabbing his arms like they were bothering him. So I walked over and pulled him aside. "Are you feeling okay?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm just getting a little sore and kinda cold, but I'll be fine." Leo tried to play it off, but I knew him more than he thought.
"Hey guys," I said loudly to get everyone's attention. "We are gonna call it a night early. I have school in the morning, and Leo's still not fully recovered from being sick. Thank you for coming and making him feel at home."
"Here! Here!" Most of them called out, lifting a glass as their goodnight.
"Have fun, boys," Oliava said, giving us both a wink.
"Thanks for coming down and hanging out for a while. It was nice to meet you," Dom said to Leo.
Leo waved them all goodnight before we headed upstairs to my room.
I just closed the door when Leo turned around with tears in his eyes. "Thank you so much for everything today," he said, hugging me.
"I didn't plan anything. I swear. That was a surprise for me too. I didn't even know Kiki was coming back this morning, either. But I'm glad you had fun. It was nice to see you smile."
"Everyone was really nice. Kane was scary at first, but he turned out to be so sweet once he started talking."
Of course. Leo had never seen the guy lift a dead body like it was a piece of paper or chop through bone with one swing of an axe. "Really? I've never heard anything more than a grunt from that guy. I was shocked to see he knew more than a few words," I joked, earning a playful punch in the stomach from Leo.
Laughing it off, I flopped on my back in bed, soaking up the glow I felt with Leo shining bright in the same room. I've missed this side of him so much that seeing it felt like such a gift.
"During the weekend, we'll get you some clothes that fix you a little better. I mean it's cute seeing you in my shirts, but I'm sure Kiki was gonna start getting mad that I keep stealing her sweatpants. We'll make a day out of it and have dinner in the city. How does that sound?" I asked, sitting up to admire him standing in the middle of my room.
His smile dropped, and his eyes widened. "But... I don't have..., I don't-"
"Money isn't a problem. I have a lot of it saved from all the work I've done for my uncle, and well since we're together now..., my money is your money too." I looked up at him trying to stop my face from heating up, but I knew I was failing, and it only made it worse.
Leo's face started heating too, but he stepped closer as my hands ran up his thighs. I couldn't look away as he lowered his head, and we began kissing. It was just as amazing as the times before, but something seemed more pleasurable. Leo's lips soon moved from my lips down my cheek, where I thought he would stop, but I gasped as he made his way farther to my neck.
He sat in my lap before I realized he moved his knees on the bed. I couldn't stop my hands from slipping into his shirt to feel his back under my fingers, pulling his body closer as he kissed, licked, and sucked on my neck and throat.
"Leo," I moaned, making him look back up, and I attacked his lips again. I couldn't think straight.
He pulled back just as my tongue was wrapped around his. I opened my eyes in a haze and panted for the air he sucked from my body. He got off me, making me think something was wrong, but my eyes widened when he got down to his knees between my legs.
I grabbed his cheeks quickly, making him look at me. "You don't have to do that, Leo."
"But... I..." His face grew red as his eyes looked away from mine. "I want to," he said, tracing his hands up my inner thighs to my hard-on.
I gasped when he slid over the bulge, making me twitch. "Fuck," I moaned, pulling his face closer as I leaned down, locking our lips. His hands worked to free my button.
Once done, I took my soiled shirt off and threw it somewhere on the ground. I couldn't stop my hands from roaming over Leo's skin and flipping us onto the bed so I was on top of him this time. Our lips were like magnets for what could have been hours, hands exploring each other's bodies like we were trying to remember every detail of them.
We fell asleep, our bodies tangled and feeding off each other's warmth.
