Re: Blast from the Past
Well, I have to say as your sister I am quite disappointed that I had to learn from our MOTHER that you broke up with Henri! Not that those were her exact words, but I got the gist! I mean what happened?? Accounting internship? That wasn't even Henri's major! So, what happened?? Lie to mom all you want but I'm not buying that bullshit. And Jeremy LeClair? I SO REMEMBER HIM!! The two of you were inseparable, when he moved, you'd think they had cancelled Full House or something. Which obviously they did but eight seasons later! Ah sigh I miss Jesse and that dog – what was his name again Asteroid or something - mom and dad were so lame never letting us get a dog! So, what's the deal with him? According to our mother you're spending the rest of the summer at his family's château.
Okay before I was jealous, now I'm crazy jealous! The whole summer in France! As if I could ever be that lucky. Which clearly, I'm not because I was partnered with Billy ahhh why; does Miss Laney hate me so much?? I hope you don't wait like you did with Henri and put the moves on Jeremy soon. I'm sure he's turned into quite the hottie! He is single right? Send details!!!!!!!!!!!
Impatiently waiting,
Lizzie
P.S. Yes, Portia and I are going to One Direction. The only bright spot in my whole life is the possibility of getting, Harry Styles autograph! Pathetic huh??
On their final day in Paris before heading to the LeClair's Château Kate and Jeremy decided to head to Montemarte.
The main attraction was the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. From its hilltop perch the views were spectacular as Paris stretched out before them. The church, while not very large, was gorgeous on the inside with its stained-glass windows, rich oak pews, and beautiful artwork. Kate was pleased to learn they had arrived just in time for that morning's mass. Guiltily Kate found herself spending more time not listening to the priest and instead darting her gaze around the room, imaging what it must be like to be married in someplace so rich in history and breathtakingly mesmerizing.
Close to the end of the mass, which was packed, Kate began to feel unwell. It started innocently enough with a slight wave of nausea that quickly passed. But then it came back again and again. And the intervals between them kept decreasing. Jeremy sat beside her totally unaware, completely absorbed in what the priest was saying.
Finally, Kate had to admit to herself that she was going to be sick and therefore needed to find a bathroom, quickly! Her eyes frantically scanned the room, but she didn't notice any signs or doors leading to the restrooms.
"Jeremy," Kate whispered, bumping his arm with her elbow knowing she didn't have much time.
He turned to her, "Yeah."
"I'm going to be sick."
"What?" His eyes widened alarmingly.
"I'm going to be sick; I need to find a bathroom."
"But why? What happened? Was it something you ate?"
They'd both had Nutella croissants that morning and cappuccinos. She hardly doubted that was it.
Kate shook her head, "Oh God I have to go now!" Jumping up from her seat Kate quickly ran out of the pew apologizing to all the other churchgoers that had to get out of her way. She heard Jeremy following behind her but didn't stop to look back. She ran to the back of the church behind the pulpit hoping to find a bathroom there. A man dressed in robes saw her skidding past and called out to her.
