Re: Revelations

I take umbrage, yes, UMBRAGE, I know what that word means! At your insinuation that I secretly like Billy. That's like Kelly Clarkson admitting she never wanted to win American Idol. It's so far from the truth!! Also, can you believe people still watch that show? It hasn't been good since Adam Lambert lost. At least that's when I stopped watching anyway, such a travesty!

So, give me the status update on you and Jeremy? Anything juicy to report? How is the château? Mom said you have a maid!! Talk about being pampered. While I've apparently gotten nothing better to do than listen to mom complain about how bad it looks you won't be at cousin Diana's wedding. Like Diana even cares! She always was a bitch to us anyway. Remember that time she bet; us we couldn't hang upside down from the tree in the backyard and then it turned out there was a beehive up there and we both got stung like ten times!

For the record I'm only going to this wedding for the free food and to gossip behind her back about how fat she looks in her dress. Which FYI I'm pretty sure she's pregnant! Why else would you get engaged and married in three months?

And for your information Billy is not my type anyway. He's obsessed with Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, two movies I've never even seen and have no intention to! And is always talking about going on some dig in Egypt or somewhere. Seriously, he wants to be a dinosaur collector or something. Does that sound like my type to you?

As for Jeremy. He's basically perfect for you. Even you should have figured that out by now. Have fun and use protection!

P.S. If you buy mom a dress you have to get me one too!

P.P.S. And for your information Obsession by Brittany Spears is an excellent perfume!

That morning over a breakfast of eggs benedict and blueberry muffins David announced he and Colette would be going away for the weekend in Toulouse to visit some friends.

Jeremy immediately caught Kate's eye and raised his eyebrows suggestively causing her to shake her head and begin adding liberal amounts of butter to her muffin.

"Really?" said Jeremy. "That sounds like fun! Hope you both have a great time."

"Make sure the gardener takes good care of my rose bushes while we're gone."

"Of course, Papa," said Jeremy rolling his eyes at Kate.

After seeing Colette and David off Kate was about to head back to the library to do some more research but Jeremy showed up with Rue de Lepic and insisted they spend the day outside.

"I thought we agreed Rue de Lepic is now an indoor cat," said Kate scratching her behind the ears.

"She is," concurred Jeremy, "Who said anything about her coming with us?"

Kate laughed, "Okay I'll go but I still want to get some research in today."

Jeremy sighed and set Rue de Lepic down, who promptly took off, probably to eat whatever scraps were left over from breakfast, Kate had it on good authority because she'd seen her doing it! That Mrs. Dufour was feeding her extra food on the sly.
