Re: Coming to America
I told you Henri was a douche! What an ass for even showing up there! You told him not to come, how more direct could you have been?
My mom thinks I should be a December bride. I told her we were not planning anything for a few years, but I might as well be talking to a cuckoo bird. Also, why would I want to get married in December?
Sorry you haven't had better luck with finding out what happened to the Chevalier sisters. I guess the good news is you leave France soon and won't have to hear any more voices.
Speaking of which, I'm so happy you're coming home!! Those few days I came to visit were not long enough.
And how have you and Jeremy still not done it?
See you soon!
Kiki
P.S. Why are you asking about cats? Alec is allergic.
P.P.S. The pet groomer really did die!
Kate was packed. Rue de Lepic would follow later.
She had said goodbye to Elodie and Mrs. Dufour and promised to keep in touch. Mr. and Mrs. LeClair joined them for dinner the evening before and wished her well and a safe journey home. She would be flying from Paris and Jeremy had accompanied her there. They would have one night before she left.
Jeremy booked a quaint hotel for them to stay in complete with a little courtyard outside their window. They decided to have a sunset boat ride down the Seine River followed by dinner.
When they disembarked the boat, it was completely dark, they got a bit turned around and began walking along the river. Only no one else seemed to be around.
"Are you sure this is right?" Kate asked Jeremy. She wore a rose-colored summer dress and was getting chilly from walking by her river. It had also started to drizzle.
"When did I say this was the right way?"
"So, we're lost?" Kate cried
Jeremy laughed. "We'll get there, don't worry."
There turned out to be Iolanda. An Italian restaurant. Kate was pleased by this. She was getting quite tired of French food all the time. She ordered a calzone with ham and mozzarella. It was quite large, but she was starving and finished it all. Jeremy ordered a pesto pizza.
Kate had missed her friends and family and was looking forward to seeing them. But she would miss Jeremy and didn't want to have to start planning what to do next in her life.
"Whatever you decide. You'll be great." Jeremy assured her.
"You have to say that you're my boyfriend."
"I say it because it's true. You'll see."
"I hope so," Kate said as they got ready for bed. Her flight left at noon the next day.
"I believe in you. Now should we watch some French tv or go straight to bed?"
"You know I don't understand French." Kate reminded him.
"I guess that answers my question then." Jeremy said grinning.
The bed was supposed to be a queen but was rather small in Kate's estimation. But then again everything seemed smaller and more expensive in Europe.
The bed frame creaked as they got under the covers.
"I think I'm going to grow my hair back out."
"Whatever you want."
"Well, in that case, I think it's morphin time." Kate declared.
Jeremy laughed. "God, we were so lame as kids."
Kate giggled. "Yeah, but I have a lot of good memories from those times."
"Me too and there are more to come."
"I believe you."
And unlike her career she knew her relationship with Jeremy was far from uncertain.

Re: Coming to America
You are not getting married in December! Unless you decide to elope to Jamaica but since your fiancée is Alec and therefore you must have a traditional Jewish wedding eloping is pretty much off the table.
Oh, I can't believe I forgot to tell you! I did find out what happened to the Chevalier sisters! The third set of footprints belonged to Louie. He shot Marc when he was threatening Adaline with a knife. Then with Christian the four of them left Château de Langlois forever. I even found the pistol that Louie used to shoot Marc! So, at least that's one mystery solved. As for my career.... Jeremy thinks I should pursue journalism. I suppose that isn't a crazy suggestion. I do like the detective work involved. But where to study???
And even more shocking I haven't told you, Jeremy and I had sex! Actually, quite a few times. I can honestly say he's not just a good kisser! Lol. He seemed to think I needed time after Henri before taking another relationship to the next level. Sweet but completely unnecessary in this instance.
Hard to believe my summer abroad is finally over. I will never forget these last few months or the people and experiences I had. So, for the last time I say bonsoir.
Kate
P.S. Oh right Alec is allergic to cats. No matter, Jeremy says he will take Rue de Lepic.
P.P.S., I knew he was dead! I mean sad for him and his dog. But at least he wasn't just ignoring you lol.
