Re: ARE YOU ALIVE???

Katherine Jessica Perryman you have been gone for approximately thirty-six hours and I have yet to hear a SINGLE word from you! Now I know that you think I overreact all the time, but I am your MOTHER and you've just left the country ALONE and a MOTHER needs to know if her child is, okay? SO, ARE YOU OKAY?? You've been doing what I told you right? Avoiding eye contact with strangers on the street, keeping your money strapped to your body beneath your clothes and making sure to carry around TWO cans of pepper spray just in case. You know I was just talking to Jodie Klinkirk's mother, you remember Jodie, right? You two used to be in ballet together before you begged me to let you quit because you hated wearing leotards, and she said that her niece had gone to Paris last summer and some hoodlum on the subway stole her purse and gave her a black eye! You must be careful over there Kate it's not like in America, they don't even shower regularly.

But anyway, PLEASE email me back so that I can know you are safe and give Henri my best.

Tootles,

Your VERY worried mother

P.S. And DON'T drink the water!!

Michel's apartment is so freaking nice!!

As soon as Kate and Jeremy walked in, she turned to him and said, "You have got to be shitting me with this."

Jeremy found this pretty hilarious, but Kate was completely serious. Compared to Tentatrice Sombre, this place was Buckingham Palace. First, it was located just five blocks from Notre Dame, second it had a grand balcony covered with potted geraniums and azaleas overlooking a quaint courtyard with a bubbling fountain.

And the inside!! All black leather couches, floor to ceiling windows and hardwood floors. Kate was in heaven and the kitchen was kick ass with a stainless-steel fridge and appliances she'd never even heard of like what do you need a citrus zester for anyway?

Once Jeremy showed Kate where she would be sleeping, the apartment had three bedrooms, Kate couldn't help wondering what a single guy needed three bedrooms for? All his comic books? Video games? Or maybe just porn, and Kate had unpacked the essentials and taken a much-needed shower in her private bathroom. A true luxury as her and Lizzie were always constantly fighting over their bathroom at home. Jeremy suggested they head on over to Champs Elysee.

They caught the subway which deposited them right in front of the Arc de Triomphe. After taking a few pictures in front of the famous monument Jeremy suggested they walk down to the end of the street stopping wherever caught their eye. Kate quickly agreed and so they set off.

"I still can't believe I'm here," Kate heard herself saying as they passed by iconic stores like Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Cartier. The street was packed on both sides with tourists and locals both easily identifiable. Kate didn't know which way to look so much was catching her eye the numerous cafés she was dying to stop in, the group of street performers ahead even the cute sales boy at Abercrombie and Fitch.

"It's pretty exciting your first time," Jeremy replied.

"But pretty unimpressive to someone who's been here a hundred times," asked Kate, chancing a glance to see his face.
