Chapter 201: True Power of the Spear

[Cave Dome]

Taking the initiative of the battle, Shun quickly ran up a few steps forward as he took a huge breath in and used one of his opening attack for this inside battle.

"Flame Breath!!!" 

Breathing out a huge torrent of flames derived from Shyvana's draconic breath, a the torrent of flames then zoomed the distance between Shun's group and Adelfried as it literally scorched the very air packed inside the dome. In response to that initial attack, Adelfried swiftly positioned his hold unto his spear as he swept up his weapon up into a slash and split the sea of flames into half using brute force.

Taking the torrent of flames as a follow up cover, both Mordred and Akito quickly closed the distance between them and their target as they each attacked Adelfried using their own form of combat engagement. However Adelfried simply stayed calm in that situation as he adjusted his hold unto his spear and easily deflected both attacks in just two swipe of his weapon.

Afterwards when both Mordred and Akito quickly followed up their failed strike the moment they landed unto the ground, Adelfried simply spun his body in midair and quickly deflected their follow up strikes once more within two moves. After that Adelfried rushed in between both Akito and Mordred as he struck up the latter with a palm strike to her chin, while thrusting the but end of the spear towards the formers guts, thus blowing both of them away.

The moment both Akito and Mordred got blown away, Merlin then quickly sent in a barrage of long range spells towards Adelfried in order to cover up the approaching Lionel from amidst the commotion. Just following behind him, Shun quickly pulled out both I.E and Shiv from his inventory and rushed in for a combined attack.

Once Lionel got close towards Adelfried, he then jumped into the air as he condensed his man unto his heel and sent in a flying  drop kick.

"Eagle Stamp!!!"

Due to his condensed mana unto his heel, a slight fire animation was formed as his man burned like fire in accordance to his subconscious will. While Lionel started his flurry of attacks, Diva then begun casting in numerous area buffs towards the surroundings as she intended to support everyone from afar.

"Greater Area Healing!!!"

"Status Ailment resistance!!!"

"Greater Strength Boost!!!"

"Greater Mobility Boost!!!" 

Synchronizing the buffs into their attacks, Lionel then rushed towards  Adelfried in a greater speed as he sent in  a flurry of attacks while blitzing his way towards him. With his random footwork slightly confusing Adelfried on which area he would land, he then erected a water barrier around him connected to his body in order to form a type of mobile defensive maneuver.

As long as he positioned himself right, he would sooner or later be able to read Lionel's footwork pattern and give him a chance to retaliate. However Shun wouldn't simply let him analyze Lionel's movement at all.

The moment he saw that Adelfried in simply defending himself from Lionel's attacks by switching from one place to another while blocking the majority of unprecedented attacks, he then broke away from Lionel's shadow as he swept through the battlefield and arrive just behind Adelfried. 

Inputting his whole strength distributed unto him by his system, bulging veins popped up into his arm as he smashed away the barrier protecting Adelfried from Lionel's attacks in just a single dual slash from both his I.E and Shiv.

Naturally this caught Adelfried off guard as he didn't expect someone to fully destroy the barrier he erected using a portion of the Aquasphere's power. But before he could process everything he had just witnessed, Lionel quickly close in the distance between them and straight up punched him to his face while  Shun  quickly spun around following the momentum of his slash and kicked his back with an incredible force.

With two huge force attacking him from front and back simultaneously, Adelfried is completely squeezed in between this two force, as he gritted his teeth in anger and forced both of them to be blown away using the sudden aura surge he had let go with in his moment of fit.

Once both Lionel and Shun got blown away, Adelfried erected another mobile barrier around himself as he rushed in towards the latter, after all a person who could simply destroy his barrier is much more of a danger than to the people who couldn't.

Naturally Merlin tried his best to obstruct his way, however his attacks weren't powerful enough to deter Adelfried who simply tanked his way through his bombardment. On the other hand once Shun realized that Adelfried was aiming for him first, he then brandished both I.E and Shiv together as he created a huge sho0ckwave of electrical energy with the hope to at least obstruct his approaching attacker.

Unfortunately his attempt to deter him wasn't able to do anything at all due to its moving barrier. Absorbing his electrical shockwave using the flow of highly conductible water to divert its force of energy towards Merlin's projectile and its surroundings, Adelfried cuts in between their distance as he thrusted out his spear towards him completely aiming for his heart.

As if noticing the intent of his attack, Shun himself tried to block the attack using both his I.E and Shiv only to notice that his weapons started showing signs of breaking the moment it defended against the spear of the Aquasphere.

Pushing his thrust to a whole new level, Adelfried imbued much more mana power unto the spears tip as he slashed it upward  while releasing a deadly aura wave which completely obliterates Shun I.E and Shiv. But the damage didn't end there, since both Shun's I.E and Shiv were only able to deal with the fraction from Adelfried deadly aura wave, its residue then simply rushed over towards him and made a huge cut across Shun body, causing the first blood to be spilled in this battle.

Once Shun got downed, Lionel quickly approaches from behind while Mordred approaches from the left and Akito from the right. But before they could even land a hit towards Adelfried, his mobile barrier intercepted the three attacks coming from different direction which gave Adelfried some time to spin around and throw the spear towards Lionel behind him.

In just one throw Lionel was pierced through by the spear as he was shot off from the ground and got impaled at the dome's wall. However since the spear wasn't able to pierce his vital parts like the heart and brain, he was then far from being dead and much closer to a majorly injured person. As long as there is a healer in the vicinity, he would be able to recuperate from this injury.

Unfortunately the same couldn't be said if Adelfried forces to pull out his spear. Once he decided to do so, Lionel would not only face a critical condition, but also a sever blood loss which would eventually lead to death if let open.

As if every dangerous point was being read through by Adelfried, he then quickly stretches out his hand into a reach as he commanded the spear to return to his grip after being thrown afar. Thus as if the weapon has a soul of its own, the weapon pulled itself out from Lionel's body as it zoomed past the others and returned back to Adelfried.

Since the spear was pulled out off Lionel, he was then  left with a huge wound on his body which forced Diva to quickly rushed towards him and focused all of her attention into healing him. However the moment Diva's attention was shifted into healing Lionel, the buff that everyone was receiving a few moments ago then disappeared into nothingness which downgrade their power stat in comparison to Adelfried.

Once that happened, even Mordred herself immediately realized that they were in a deep shit right this very moment.
