Chapter 205: The Hammer and The Spear

[Destroyed Mountain Hideout]

The moment Ornn got pushed back by just a mere strength of the spear made from the essence of the Aquasphere, Yuumi then forcefully aided Shun in helping him get away in order for Ornn to let loose on his opponent. Unexpectedly Captain Kalego secretively appeared before them as he pulled out Shun from his dangerous location and brought him somewhere safe and away from danger. To be exact he brought him at the foot of the mountain at the opposite side of its destroyed side.

In that place, a lot of soldiers from the kingdom were currently being attended by the healers alongside some of the captured cult members that were tied up on the side. As for the cult members that tried to fight back, they were naturally killed on the spot in order to prevent them from causing additional harm to the deployed army.

In fact Shun couldn't even see the people who attacked them on the way when the whole team tried to get inside the mountain, and looking back on the disheveled state of Captain Kalego, coupled by some blood on his uniform, Shun then came to a conclusion that they weren't spared at all.

That's just how war is, its kill or be killed and Captain Kalego seemed to have chosen the former. Among the crowd Shun could also spot the Head general being treated immediately by the healers as his sword was completely stained in blood red while glaring at the direction of the battle.

As Captain Kalego puts down Shun and Yuumi, he then called out to the Head General of the knight army and explained the situation. Even thought both Captain Kalego and the Head General tried to keep their voice down in order to prevent information leak, Shun could still hear some bits of info from them due to his enhanced hearing.

From their murmurs, Shun heard Captain Kalego inform the Head General that the only enemy they have is the leader of the cult himself, and once he was taken down, the cult will then cease to exist. What's more he also informed him about the team that were currently knocked out in the are of destruction and he was requesting for a team to rescue them.

However even thought that was a good idea, implementing it is still quite a problem. After all the unconscious team was near the vicinity of the last enemy, one wrong move from them and they would all be wiped out from existence.

In this moment it is even more dangerous since a battle was going on near the said location of the unconscious team. At that Shun then had a few of his stamina return to him which gave him enough time to take out a mana potion from his inventory and quickly drink it all up. After all in this world, stamina is equal to mana, or better yet stamina and mana works the same way and same principle.

As long as one body has mana, he or she will still be able to move no matter how battered up one's body. If that was the case, then it wouldn't take that long till Shun would be back on his feet. Plus he doesn't even know just how long Ornn would be able to hold on against Adelfried enhanced by the Aquasphere, thus it is much important if he could return back into battle as earlier as possible in order to rescue the other guys who went with him.

Thus in the amidst of their discussion, Shun slowly stood up from his spot which slightly shocked some healers (since he haven't received any treatment yet), as he walked up to them and grabbed unto Captain Kalego's sleeves while putting on a determined look.

"You!!!" cried out by Captain Kalego in alarm.

"I'm going back in there" said by Shun

"...That's not possible! You are in no condition to fight, plus  you are a guest of this kingdom which has connection to one of the most influential person of our soon allied country... just participating in this hunt is already something way beyond what the kingdom could tolerate, we cant afford to endanger you any longer now that you have experienced a near death situation like this" refused by Captain Kalego

Upon hearing his words, Shun couldn't help but give out a slight laugh as he remembers his experience in fighting against Lorius. Even thought Lorius doesn't have the enhancement of the Aquasphere, Shun was confident to proclaim that Lorius was the strongest opponent he had ever faced. In fact it was quite surprising how strong he was despite not having any ancient treasure on him.

If Lorius were ever present in this situation, Shun was confident that he would be able to deal with Adelfried without any further method. After all a person who is worthy enough for him to consider summoning Aurelion Sol, was not someone who could be dealt with easily. With that in mind, Shun then replied back.

"I've seen far worse monster than he is, I'll take him down no matter what it takes"

"!!!"

"All you guys have to do is to rescue the others while making sure to take any opportunity to bring him down" added by Shun

In that moment the Head General stepped up.

"You... are you confident that you could take him down?"

At that question, silence descended in the area as Shun gave out his answer.

"No... but we wouldn't be sure if i don't at least try"

Upon hearing Shun's answer, both the Head General and Captain Kalego looked at each other as they both seemed to communicate with just their eyes. Seemingly they both have the same thought on this situation.

Around the same time when the discussion was happening, both Adelfried and Ornn were fighting off against each other in a fierce battle despite the difference in their sizes. In fact it is somewhat difficult for Ornn to accurately target, after all in order to compensate for its lack of size, Adelfried had to keep moving around in order to hit Ornn's blind spot.

Due to that the place was a mess as the destruction slowly spread-out to the foot of the mountain as the battle progress. However due to Ornn's surprising dexterity, Adelfried's attack seemed to have little to no affect on him at all. The only thing that was pushing back Ornn was the force of the strikes stemming out from the absorbed Aquasphere.

As Ornn kept smashing his two hammers all over the place, Adelfried then used his size disadvantage to quickly slip through the gaps of Ornn's movement and climb up all over his body. once he reaches on its shoulder, he then gathered mana unto the tip of his spear as he thrusted out his attack.

"Water piercer"

Even thought that was actually a piercing technique, it wasn't actually able to pierce through Ornn's tough skin as it simply smacked him with a huge blow squarely to the face. Due to that powerful blow, Ornn then fell to the side as he rolled down the mountain and crushed at the foot of the said mountain itself.

Naturally Adelfried was pulled along on his momentum, thus he too fell down the mountain side.

But the battle didn't end there. Since the attack just knocked Ornn off his feet, he quickly regained the feeling to his surroundings as he gripped his hammer and swung it towards his direction, forcing Adelfried to block the attack with his full strength. In order to fully defend that, Adelfried enhanced his footing using the energy of the Aquasphere to circulate around his legs and implant him into place.

Alongside it he also distributed the energy to his arms in order to support his weapon in taking in the shock from Ornn's attack. Due to that the shockwave was then distributed towards the surroundings as the force simply uprooted some of the trees near them.

After receiving the attack, Adelfried showed his toothy grin, while Ornn simply snorted out a fuming flam from his nose in annoyance.
