[Gritonnia Academy]

Following Selene's signal, Shun asked for permission to go outside, as he was allowed, which made him stand up from his seat and catch up to Selene. Once he caught up, he then saw her standing by the hallway, as she looked at him before waiting for him to speak up.

"Hey! What's wrong? why did you call me?"

"Nothing much... But we're returning, this is the last time we will see each other and the last day we will interact, tomorrow at the latest, me and my classmate would head to the port and return back to our academy in the frontier"

Hearing that, Shun then went silent for a bit, as he pondered his words, before replying back.

"Oh! Is that so, i always knew that you guys will go back sooner than later, i just didn't expect it to be this sooner... But it is what it is, you guys being here in the academy is just a part of a program between two academy's so its natural that it wont last long... your going back home"

"Home eh! yes your right, however it would be quite nice if i could relax after going home"

"What do you mean?" asked by Shun

"Well its the frontier, just as the name suggest our p[lace is near the border between one kingdom from another, so it would naturally be quite noisy and eventful in that p[lace since a lot of conflict arises in the frontier... what's more as if the intervention of the other kingdoms is not enough, the monsters would also try to siege the various places in the frontier, resulting to a lot of battle in the frontier"

"That's quite eventful"| commented by Shun as he was shocked to learn just how busy the frontier is

"Yes!"

"So i guess this is a farewell between us? it was nice meeting you Selene"

"It was nice meeting you too, but I'm not here for that today"

"???"

"I'm here to challenge you to a fight between and knight and the infamous summoner who won the six academy competition... That's what i want"

"... You want to fight me as a request?"

"Yes! after all I'm planning to become a sword grandmaster or a paladin, so challenging strong people is a must if i want to accumulate experience and become strong... the only way for me to get strong is by challenging the strong guys"

"I see... well alright"

"Great! i believe you know what's a sword grand master and paladin means? in order to achieve that i need you to become my stepping stone to success"

"Yeah i know them"

A "sword grandmaster" typically refers to an individual who has achieved an exceptional level of skill, mastery, and knowledge in the art of swordsmanship. The title may vary depending on the specific martial arts tradition or cultural context. In many martial arts disciplines, achieving the rank of grandmaster signifies not only technical proficiency but also deep understanding of the principles, philosophy, and history of sword fighting. In some traditions, the title of grandmaster is conferred upon individuals who have not only mastered the physical techniques of swordsmanship but have also demonstrated leadership, teaching ability, and contributions to the advancement of the art. These individuals are often revered within their respective martial arts communities and may serve as mentors and authorities in their field.

It's worth noting that the title of grandmaster may not have a universally standardized definition across all martial arts disciplines, and its usage can vary based on cultural norms, organizational structures, and individual martial arts schools or styles.

In historical terms, a paladin was originally a knight renowned for heroism and chivalry in medieval European literature and history. The word "paladin" itself is derived from the Latin word "palatinus," meaning a high official or dignitary of the imperial court.

However, in modern times, "paladin" has become more commonly associated with fantasy literature, role-playing games (RPGs), and other fictional settings, where it refers to a character class or profession rather than an actual historical role.

In the context of RPGs and fantasy settings, a paladin is a character class typically characterized as a holy warrior dedicated to upholding justice, righteousness, and order, as I mentioned in the previous response. Players who choose to play as paladins often have abilities related to combat, divine magic, and moral righteousness. They might serve as protectors, leaders, or champions of their chosen cause.

So, while "paladin" doesn't typically exist as a profession in the real world, it has become a well-known character archetype in fictional settings, particularly within the realm of fantasy literature and gaming.

Knights, historically, might challenge strong people or formidable opponents for several reasons, many of which mirror those of a swordsman. Honor and Chivalry: Knights were often bound by codes of chivalry that emphasized courage, loyalty, and honor. Challenging strong opponents could be seen as a way to uphold these values and demonstrate one's bravery and prowess in combat. Testing Skills: Similar to swordsmen, knights might challenge strong individuals to test their own martial abilities and measure themselves against worthy adversaries. This allowed them to continually improve their combat skills and tactics.

Protection of Reputation: Knights had reputations to uphold, and defeating strong opponents could enhance their prestige and renown. It could also serve as a deterrent to potential challengers or adversaries. Settling Disputes: In situations where conflicts arose between knights or their allies, challenging strong opponents to single combat could serve as a means of resolving disputes honorably, without resorting to large-scale warfare. Personal Vendettas or Rivalries: Like anyone, knights might have personal vendettas or rivalries with specific individuals. Challenging these adversaries to combat provided a means of settling scores or asserting dominance. Training and Preparation: Challenging strong opponents could also serve as a form of training and preparation for battle. By facing formidable adversaries in controlled settings, knights could refine their skills and develop effective combat strategies.

Overall, the motivations for knights to challenge strong people were often intertwined with concepts of honor, martial prowess, and social status. Challenging formidable opponents was a way for knights to uphold their values, enhance their reputations, settle disputes, and prepare for the rigors of warfare.

With all of that set and done, Shun accepted such challenge as they scheduled their farewell battle right after the class hours of the academy. With it, he is planning to give it his all in hon or of Selene's knight code of conduct.
