[Gritonnia Academy]

Truth be told that, despite the held back culture of this world which resulted to its setting being similar to a medieval period of earth, the  level of knowledge in this world's time period is actually quite close to the modern era curriculum. Due to that Shun couldn't help but reminiscences his time as a students back on earth whenever  academic lessons were being taught in this school.

Despite its drawback, it is quite commendable on how far the learning knowledge of this world have advanced. In fact he could even imagine that the moment this world reach the technological age of the modern era, its IQ and knowledge would be somewhat far more advanced than earth and somewhat come close to a futuristic level of IQ.

On the other hand because of that, Shun couldn't help but feel stupid whenever academic lessons were being taught. After all back on earth, he was not the type of students who likes to study all the time, but instead he is the type of student who you would always see spending its after school time in a pc café till the dead of night. He was quite a rebellious guy as a kid.

With that said, all he could do in this situation was stare at the problem in front of him, as he literally have no idea on how to solve such complicated problem that even his limited brain storage cant comprehend. What lays before him is a complicated problem which would need the Pythagorean theorem to be applied in order for the question to be solved.

In mathematics, the Pythagorean theorem or Pythagoras' theorem is a fundamental relation in Euclidean geometry between the three sides of a right triangle. It states that the area of the square whose side is the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the areas of the squares on the other two sides. The theorem can be written as an equation relating the lengths of the sides a, b and the hypotenuse c, sometimes called the Pythagorean equation.

When Euclidean space is represented by a Cartesian coordinate system in analytic geometry, Euclidean distance satisfies the Pythagorean relation: the squared distance between two points equals the sum of squares of the difference in each coordinate between the points. The theorem can be generalized in various ways: to higher-dimensional spaces, to spaces that are not Euclidean, to objects that are not right triangles, and to objects that are not triangles at all but n-dimensional solids. The Pythagorean theorem has attracted interest outside mathematics as a symbol of mathematical abstruseness, mystique, or intellectual power; popular references in literature, plays, musicals, songs, stamps, and cartoons abound.

With such problem being presented as the first question of the test, Shun had no choice but to simply stared wide shock and dumbfounded ,as sweats begun to pour down on his face.

*********

2 hours passed and the test for mathematics were no over, now that one of the hard subjects were done, the atmosphere in the classroom had somewhat lifted as everyone exhaled in relief except for one person. Unknown to everyone in the room, one of them wasn't feeling too good after the exam, naturally that person himself is none other than Shun.

For the past 2 hours Shun tried his best in answering the questions as best as he can, till he finally finished answering the very last problem. However he is only sure that he answered the 50% questions in the exam, and the other 50% questions are just guesses he had made along the way. Taking that account and the possibility some of his answers he felt correctly answered to be wrong, his percentage of failing the midterm exam in math is an all time high.

Unknown to him both Aria and Sephiria were looking at him worriedly as they saw Shun panicking throughout the test as he tried to answer everything as best as he can. But at that point, all they could do was look at him in worry as the next professor entered the room in order to start the next test.

"Alright! everyone stand down! the next test you will be tackling this time is magic theorem, i hope everyone studied, cause if you don't , you will be failing this class and have no choice but to repeat it"

Hearing the name of the subject, Shun couldn't help but curse internally as this is another type of problem solving test. Coming in second from math, magic theorem is one of the hardest subject in this academy, especially for people who don't excel in magic formation itself. Since Shun's magic relies on the system's power, he naturally cared very less towards magic formation as the power given to him upon transmigrating requires no magic formation itself. So this time Shun knew that he is fucked once more.

Magic theorem or Theory in magic, is just like what it's name implies. This subject is all bout research in regards to magic which its primarily aim is to help students in reaching the root of magic and improve the magic itself. Of course such theorem can be applied into literally everything, it can be applied whether one is in combat or just living their normal everyday life as a happy citizen.

Some theorems are magical: their hypotheses are easy to meet, and when invoked (as lemmas) in the midst of an otherwise routine proof, they deliver the desired conclusion more or less straightaway—like pulling a rabbit from a hat. Time and experience are the absolute best teachers of Magic Theory, this being said, there have been published quite a few very interesting volumes on the matter regarding this in the academy's library. We might even say that magic theory helps turn a magic trick into a magic effect.

Magic Theory, sometimes called Hermetic theory, refers to the set of universal magical principles developed by the Founders. Magic theory is a body of knowledge that describes how magic works, and transcends the scope of any single Art.

By looking at this , in such perspective, one might mistake magic theory as something fun and easy to do. But once a person delved deeper into magic theory, one would notice that such theory would need a lot of complicated equations in order to improve and finalize one spell as true. Since magic theorem is somewhat related to math for about 50%, it is natural that such subject would be quite hard for many of the students and a dead pit black hole for Shun who have below average IQ in regards to math.

"I had fun till it lasted, i cant believe i will be repeating a year!"

Under that tired breath, lays the will of the person being broken down, as he gave up on going against th tide and let fate plays its part.
