Chapter 219: Demonstration

"Now where and when can we use magic and how can this class be helpful towards you as a person?"

Hearing such a question, all the students then went silent as they all awaited for Professor's Nico's words.

"Lets imagine! Your walking down the road at night, then you suddenly bumped into a dangerous person, what will you do?" asked by professor Nico as he pointed towards a male student in class c

"... Um... use magic to fight off such person?"

"What type of magic?" asked by Professor Nico

"Well for starters, how about a quick fireball before distancing yourself away from him" answered by the same student

"After distancing away from it, what will you do next?"

"Well... start to cast a powerful spell while running away simultaneously" answered by the same student again

"But we all know that a powerful spell rakes a long time to cast... how confident are you in your casting time?"

Upon hearing such question, the student then suddenly went silent as he knew that he was not that proficient in speed casting. Upon noticing that the student was stomped, Nico then returned his attention towards the class as he pointed out his point.

"Exactly!!! a powerful spell takes a lot of time to cast which is impractical when in the middle of a battle! every second counts whenever your life is on the line, you cant just rely on long casting spell for such occasion"

"Long casting spells are for only formality and performance, they're not that practical... In my class we aim for efficiency"

With that a student from Class A then raised up her hand and asked a question.

"Does this mean that you will teach us wordless magic?"

"Wordless magic? some of you may have talent for such style of casting, but i assure you that not all of you can achieve such type of systematic casting... If there is one thing that people of this day lack, it will be imagination"

"....."

"Now I'll show you how wordless magic can be quite practical in terms of battle and i will need at least one volunteer among the crowd"

In that announcement, three hands rose into the air as Shun recognized the three person who wanted to fight against the professor for the demonstration. These three people were Rosalyn Breckt, Sonia Louverich, and Goran Kallos. These three people are actually Shun's teammate back at the four academy competition last school year.

Upon recognizing the representative, the various students cheered out towards them, as even professor Nico seemed amused of the situation.

"Oh my! I didn't expect that three out of four people from the champion team in the four academies competition to actually volunteer themselves... with that I'm quite expecting its fourth member to also volunteer itself... i believe everyone wants to see that? the championship team vs the new professor"

When professor Nico said those words, some f the students were then enticed as they all begun to look at Shun's direction. Naturally all three previous teammates also looked at him from their side of the class and because of such pressuring peers, Shun then gave up and stood up among the crowd, signaling that6 he would volunteer too.

The moment Shun stood up, another round of cheers vibrated throughout the room, as the whole class begun to expect that grand battle similar to the final battle they had witnessed last school year.

"oh my! finally! the MVP! The sole person who stayed last in the battle royal in the final event of the competition... What's more i learned something quite amazing in the new rumors that is floating around you Shun kurosaki!"|

"???"

"Apparently you were also involved in suppressing the terrorist force back at the foreign country... Wow you must have a lot of battle experience! you must be a veteran!"

Suddenly hearing that new piece of information, the rest of the students were amazed as they begun expecting more from Shun himself. But since such event was already made public, Shun then didn't deny such a thing as he happily embraced the attention that he was having.

Soon after four of the representative then went down to the stage as each of them were given time to pick their weapon that they were going to use against the professor. Naturally Rosalyn picked a magic sword, Sonia picked a staff, and Goran picked a longsword and a shield, as for Shun he insisted that he will use his own weapon.

The representative were free to use any method they wanted to use against the professor, they can even strategize their movements if they wanted to, they have free rein on how to handle such situation. In the end Shun would be their main damage dealer, while the other three try their best to actually give an opening for Shun to exploit.

Since teaming up in such a comp was rare, all three of them except Shun planned to give it their all, in order to show their progress from their last performance in the competition.

Without further ado, Rosalyn quickly casted a flame energy on her magic swords, as she swept it all up into a tsunami of flames heading towards professor Nico. At the same time Goran begun enhancing his body's strength, as he jumped high into the air, with an intent to crash down on top of his target.

In response to that, Nico snapped his fingers to erect a barrier around him  instantaneously, as he stretches out his hand and casted Air pump towards Goran without opening his mouth at all. As a result he was able to defend himself from the tsunami flame, as he also pushed back Goran who suddenly leaped into the air.

With that sequence he suddenly blocked a sound spell coming from Sonia from afar, as he then created a sword made out of earth in order to contend against Rosalyn who speed blitz towards him.

Switching his battle style from ranged to close quarters, professor Nico was able to deal with two representative by himself as he begun to move even more faster to the point that he slowly overwhelms, Rosalyn and  Sonia.

But such pressure soon got broken through as Goran joined in the fun and forced professor Nico to take a step back. Soon after he pushed both Rosalyn and Goran away, as he distanced himself and begun to summon wooden puppets from the ground. each puppets has its own unique element and currently there is 8 puppets, meaning 8 different elemental puppets begun top join  in the fun and pressure the representing team.

While the puppets distract the three other representative, Professor Nico then dashed towards Shun as he raised his sword and prepared his attack to land unto him. However Shun also wanted to try something new in this situation. Ever since he received such trait back at the foreign country, he then never had an opportunity to actually use it. At last this time, he now have a choice to actually see what he had harvested got for him

Under the guidance of his system, Shun then used the remnant of the Aquasphere  to form an armor around his body and spear unto his hand. within a few seconds, he was able to block the attack coming from professor Nico, which literally shook the whole class.
