Chapter 203: True Power of the Spear II

[Cave Dome]

The moment Mordred smashed her aura heavily unto Adelfried, a crisp sound of space breaking was then vibrated unto the surroundings, as Mordred energy smash was completely blocked by a type of spatial barrier which energy was connected unto the energy core implanted unto Adelfried's body.

If one had to name it, such defensive maneuver is a type of emergency safety net to times whenever Adelfried's life is in danger. In fact even Adelfried himself was surprised that such defensive mechanism exist without his prior knowledge. Nevertheless he was thankful for such save.

With the space between Mordred's sword and Adelfried begun breaking down like a broken glass upon receiving the latter's devastating attack, the energy that destroyed the very space itself was negated as it's energy residue begun to be absorbed unto unto the Aquasphere implanted unto Adelfried's body.

Once Mordred's attack was absorbed, Adelfried then felt energy and power rushing towards him in a refreshing manner as he forcefully pulled himself out from Merlin's bindings and struck down his spear unto Mordred herself. Unfortunately Mordred knew that the moment her energy was absorb, was  a time of critical situation for her, thus before Adelfried could strike her down, she then quickly back away for a couple of steps in order to distance herself from her target at an acceptable range.

The moment Adelfried struck down the now already vacated spot, she then ran up once more as she swung her sword sideways as she aimed for its neck to end the fight. However Adelfried simply dodged her attack by ducking down his head, before striking out a quick counter right below her waist.

But before his attack could reach her, Mordred then did a side spin in order to dodged Ade3lfrie's quick counter as she parried all 5 strikes from his quick follow up attack in mid air.

The moment she landed unto the ground, Adelfried then gathered mana unto his free hand and begun casting numerous water bullet with a power to pierce through anything and launch it all towards Mordred's direction.

Sensing the danger unto the spell the Adelfried had casted, Mordred then quickly made a run for it as she dodged all the water bullet aimed towards her without any sign or hesitation to even try to block such attack. Even though she cant explain it, her gut feeling was already telling her that something bad will happen to her if she tried to block such attack.

Since Mordred is a type of instinctual swordswoman, she then followed her own gut feeling as she tried her best to dodge such attacks. Of course due to this Adelfried's attention was fully focused unto Mordred, which was then taken advantage by other people who were let free of his attention.

During this few seconds, Merlin begun preparing his own spell as he plans to assist Mordred's path in order for her to increase her success rate in dodging  Adelfried's attack. As mana begun to gather at the tip of his staff he then pointed to the spots in front of Mordred as he used a spell which would lead her to their targets opening

"Golden road!!!"

The moment Merlin casted such spell, a golden silk road then appeared before Mordred which indicates for her to take in order to efficiently dodge Adelfried's attack. Alongside it if given opportunity, such spell might also lead her to an opening.

Without further ado, Mordred took such road as she followed its path and efficiently dodged the attack, no matter how much Adelfried intervenes along the way.

Alongside such assisting skill, Akito then quickly closes in once more to the side as he held his sword tightly and swung it up[ towards Adelfried.

Intervening at the right moment, Akito cuts off Adelfried attack despite having a mobile barrier, causing the person's attention to again switched back towards him.

Greatly angered from his intervention, Adelfried then quickly spun his spear in the air as he grabbed it midway and struck the ground as hard as he can.

"Tidal wave!!!"

Under his command a huge torrent of water suddenly exploded right underneath their feet as a tidal wave smashed against the surroundings and swept up the other guys from afar. To be exact even Mordred and Merlin were interrupted as the water level inside the cave quickly filled up to the point that it is beyond human height.

As the others got sept off by the current, some were drowning, Akito on the other hand simply held unto his sword as he slashed the water apart using one of his sword techniques.

Just like its name portray, Akito literally split the water in half, just like how Moses literally split the red sea  in the bible. However unbeknown to him, the trajectory of his attack intersects Adelfried's location, causing his mobile barrier to get slice in half and his body receiving a huge cut across its shoulder. Even thought his technique is supposed to be used in defending, it was actually also can be used as a means of offensive maneuver.

Once the water got cut in half, Akito took the chance to rush in before the water merge once more and finish off the majorly injured opponent. On the other hand Adelfried himself was shocked that such attack managed to bypass his own defensive causing his thoughts to lag behind even for a few seconds.

However once  Akito managed to get close to him for a bout few feet's, he then snapped back to reality as he grits his teeth and throw in his spear which was charged with an unsupervised mana. Due to that his thrown spear was 20 times more violent and powerful that its prior thrown attack, with the water pressure of 10 bar equivalent to 100m in depth of water and absolute pressure of 11 atm.

Such pressure  was way beyond an average human body can handle to dive. With such attack heading towards Akito, he couldn't help but get caught in its pressure as he got swept away and blasted out of the cave dome. In just that one attack half of the mountain was blown apart as a huge hole appeared at the mountains side facing the borders of another kingdom.

Since most of the people inside the cave dome got caught by the blast of the thrown spear, not one of them manage to come out unscathed as some got knocked out along the process. To be specific Lionel was knocked out, Diva was knocked unconscious, Merlin was buried under the rubble, Mordred was flung away, and Akito was blown back to the base of the mountain due to being the primary target of the attack.

The only person that was still up for another round at this point was Shun who barely got himself healed by having Yuumi who he secretly summoned and some potions right beside him. With everyone else down, Shun is the only person who is left standing after this whole ordeal.
