Chapter 248: Midterms VIII

After that sudden burst of electrifying explosion,, the whole stadium went into silence, as everyone eyed the center of the arena and saw Shun desperately grasping unto the ankle of professor Nico. At the same time, they were shocked to see professor Nico completely caught off guard as his whole body was shocked an paralyzed and was somewhat in a state of complete still motion.

His body itself just wouldn't listen to him, as if his very core itself was shocked and had his whole body forcefully shut down. Of course this came in shock, as everyone saw Shun slowly rising up from the ground, as he withdrew Yuumi who was in a similar state as professor Nico. With Yuumi being paralyzed like that, she would be in a pitiful state of a useless person, through that she had to be taken out in order to not get in Shun's way.

After returning Yuumi back to the book, Shun then pulled out Rapid fire cannon from his inventory. Pointing the tip of the barrel to the center of his temple, Shun steadily stabilize his whole body as he took a deep breath in before gaining focus on his eyes. But before he could even pull the trigger, professor Nico's body suddenly jerked as is body soddenly moved and had actually dodged a bullet in point blank range.

"What the hell!!!"

Surprised at the fact that professor Nico was able to move and dodge his point blank range attack, Shun then noticed a tad bit of blood along professor Nico's finger as he then realized what the person himself had done in order to escape the stunned effect.

The moment professor Nico's body came into shock, he had witnessed Shun standing up on his spot, a she withdrew his summon and called for a weapon that seemed like a gun. The moment this weapon was aimed at him, he knew what was going to happen next, as he forcefully moved his mana unto the tip of his finger tips in order to escape this state of mind.

The moment a portion of his mana had gathered at the tip of his middle finger in his left hand, he then forcefully detonated it while keeping a tight grip on his lips in order to not scream in pain. SO under the fact that Shun was fully focused in aiming the tip of his gun on him, professor Nico then snapped back into reality, as he suddenly moved and dodged the point blank attack, which shocked Shun.

But without giving Shun any time to recover from his shock, he then grabbed his arm that was holding the RFC item, before he pulled him in and strike him deep into his stomach, which blew his guts back , and shock his whole body.

After getting his stomach hit by a powerful blow, Shun forced himself to not puke out anything from his guts, as he closed hi mouth tightly, while trying to counter back from that attack. However the moment he tried to make a counter, professor Nico instantly knocked him out for a few seconds by striking his chin with a powerful punch, before he get lifted his shoulder and slammed down hard at the ground.

"You know, if your going to shoot, just shoot"

Hearing those words, Shun felt a sense of irritation deep within him, as he just wants to rip professor Nico apart due to his remarks, Unfortunately the moment he tried to retaliate, the surrounding professors of the academy suddenly intervened and concluded the match at that very point. Unbeknownst to the two participants, it has already been 10 min , ever since the start of the fight.

No one was able to notice this time frame at all except for the observing professors themselves. Both the participants and the audience itself were too engrossed in this intense level of a test battle. Due to its intensity, everyone almost forgot that this was a test and was not a real spar.

Some professors forcefully pulled away professor Nico from Shun, while the others were stopping Shun from charging towards the said professor. Looks like for the both of them, the battle wasn't over unless one of them admitted defeat.

However since the other professors of the academy were also no joke in terms of magic and history in real life battle, both of them were successfully pulled away and were treated in each of their corner. In the end aside from Cedric of Class A, Shun got the highest mark in his class, which calls for a celebration among their class group.

Of course the celebration would only happen after the test itself.

After Shun's turn, it was now time for the other students of Class B to take the stand against the professors and in comparison to Shun and professor Nico's battle, the rest was like a massacre. In the end in ended in everyone passing the test. With that, the midterm for class B had finally come to an end.

Everyone was expecting the overall result, after the overall result in their midterms would greatly affect  the rest of their grades throughout the year. But the most expected part is what comes after the midterm itself, the holiday break for the whole academy.

The moment holiday break was puts up as an interest of topic, Shun realized that the very first time he had interacted with Sephiria was also during her holiday break after the midterms of the academy. Back then Sephiria was heavily ostracized by the school due to her condition, if it weren't for Shun completely changing her life, she would have remained the same until her graduation.

Soon after the day then finally come to end as all the students were order to return to their dorm and expect the grades to come up the next day. With such fast processing of grades, Shun even wonders just what type of system does the academy use for their grading. But such information will forever be a mystery for a person such as himself.

The very next day, all of the students gathered at the huge announcement board of the school, as all the students looked at the grades that were plastered in the board. Some were happy since they passed, some were worried an in despair since they failed, while some are nonchalant as if they were expecting such grades from the start. Each and every one of the students react differently in face of the grades.

Of course Shun himself got a full passing mark in the physical exam, but for the academics, he just somehow barely made it above the passing line. His grades were a complete contrast to aria who got full mark on academics but barely passing the physical exam. With a couple of laughs, both of them congratulated each other as they witness their own contrasting circumstances.

With that, the holiday break finally commenced which will last for about a month.
