Chapter 260: The Effects Of The News VI

The moment he turned to look at the other assassins in the area aside from the one he is fighting, the assassins who witness the fight, quickly felt the dangerous aura around Shun as they instinctively pulled out their weapon as a response to anything that threatens their life. However in front of the assassins quick reaction to enter their combat mode despite not knowing anything about the enemy infront of them, Shun simply frowned as he gathered mana unto the spear that he was holding, before he shot out a laser like attack from the tip of its blade.

"Aqua Beam 10%"

Sending out such a fast attack that transcends the sound barrier, one of the assassins among the group of three was quickly taken out in one shot, which caused the other assassin who was near it, to quickly jump away in response to their flight reaction. One jumped to the left, the other to the right. But despite that as if there was no pause whatsoever, Shun suddenly flashed away from his previous spot as he chased after the assassin who jumped to the right, which caused the assassin itself to curse out loud, before he got dragged down and got smashed to the floor head first.

Due to that attack, the assassins head burst out like a bubble as blood splattered all over the area from Shun killing another person without any effort.

But before anyone could react from the sudden death of one of the assassin, Shun quickly grabbed ahold of his spear, as he threw it towards the other assassin who jumped to the left, with a bit of mana in it to enhanced its launch

"Water Javeline!!!"

In a straight horizontal throw that lasted in a blink of an eye, the third assassin who was among the group was then killed as a spear literally pierced through its chest and impaled him unto the caved in wall. In a blink of an eye, the hooded assassin that Shun had fought in the hallway was all alone once more, as Shun quickly disposed of the other assassin who was present in the area.

As Shun retrieved the water spear like some kind of magnetic force, the hooded assassin quickly felt the dread of the situation, as it brandished its claw like weapon while clutching the injury on its body. In this moment it clearly felt that the enemy in front of it was too strong for it to handle, but since she was an assassin who had taken an oath to always accomplish any mission despite the risk, it then had no choice but to risk it all while swallowing its pride and fear.

"I admit that your strong, too strong to be exact... but that won't deter me at all... since you showed your skills to me just like that, then allow me to show you what I can do"

With that said the hooded assassin suddenly released a huge gale of mana from its body, as all its physical attribute were enhanced to an unimaginable degree, and its weapon suddenly turning sharp from the body enhancement it had silently casted.

Without wasting any time, the assassin blitz across the area, as it closes in towards Shun and attacked him with a swing of its claws. However in response to this, Shun simply blocked the attack as he took a small step back, while summoning out its book with an intent to summon something from its inventory.

With that the assassin realized once more that Shun was a summoner, as it deducted that he plans to summon a helper in order to finish the fight. Upon realizing that the assassin boosted its speed once more, as it quickly dropped to the ground, before pouring cing towards Shun's direction.

But the moment the assassin did such a thing, Shun then pulled out its Hextech gunblade, as Shun pointed its nozzle in between the assassins eyebrows, before pulling the trigger and killing the assassin with an electrifying headshot from his gunblade.

As the assassin fell to the ground, Shun realized the body stature of the assassin as he pulled up its bloodied cloak and showcased that the assassin was actually a woman after all this time. But this was no ordinary woman at all, it's more like a woman of another species due to its characteristics of having cat ears and hidden cat tails.

"Beastman? I thought that there were no beastman in this world?"

A Beastman is a humanoid character with traits reminiscent of an animal. They might have claws, fangs, either heavy hair or actual fur, possibly horns or even scales, and their eyes will usually be structurally different or yellow. Usually, beastfolk behave more or less like humans, or at least such as to fit in amongst the overall assortment of intelligent races in the setting, but similar to how the Funny Animal might have a Furry Reminder, the "beastman" might have "My Instincts Are Showing" moments from time to time. If they have super powers, these will usually include Super-Senses, Super-Strength, Wall Jump, Running on All Fours and an enhanced immune system coupled with a Healing Factor, the specifics depending on which animal the Beast Man is reminiscent of.

After all this time Shun thought that there were no beastman in this world since all he encounters are human. But with this variable in play, he couldn't help but wonder just what this world is hiding and just how much does he know of this world and how wide is this world.

Once he finally saw the face of the assassin that just fought him far longer then any other assassin he had encountered in the mansion, he then stood up as he walked toward another area of the mansion and tried to sense any assassin that might be hiding within the vicinity. However despite his search, nothing came up from his radar no matter how long he had walked.

In that moment he even wondered if all the assassin were dealt with, and to confirm this, he pulled up his book to surveillance where his champion's is currently in the mansion. But the moment he did this, he realized that all his champion's were gathered inside one room, as they seemingly fighting against a formidable assassin inside the room itself.

However despite learning that, he was not worried at all, as he knew just how strong his champion's is and somewhat deducted how strong the assassins are in overall statistics, there was literally near zero percent for his champion's to be defeated in such manner. Unfortunately all of his expectations were shattered as he received notifications after notifications that his champion's has died in the hands of a single assassin alone.

In that moment Shun realized just how troublesome the last opponent that he had to kill.
