Chapter 258: The Effects Of The News IV

[Duke's Mansion]

For a moment the assassin was surprised that Shun himself was awake, before entering the place, they made sure that each and every person in the mansion had drank the tea that was prepared for the operation. Basically everyone in the mansion was supposed to be asleep aside from the assassins themselves.

They plan to kidnap Sephiria and hold her hostage in order to pressure the Duke into forsaking his previous announcement, no matter what their employers couldn't afford to let a commoner rise to nobility. After all they already failed once with the Duke's wife, but they ignored her to the fact that she doesn't actually held that much authority in politics aside from his husband, however Shun's case was different.

A commoner who have such formidable strength and is currently friends with the royal troops in another kingdom would naturally hold a lot of power in politics once he stepped into the nobility, basically he would turn into a war God worthy of the title beffitting his strength. It would have been fine if Shun had such strength but stayed as a commoner, they could still control such person with their authority. But the moment he steps foot into nobility, his authority would become so unparalleled to the point even the royal family would have a hard time dealing with him.

That is the future they saw when they thought of Shun joining the nobility, no matter what they have to stop such future.

"How is this possible? Shun kurosaki, your supposed to be asleep"

But instead of answering the assassins question, Shun simply stared at him murderously as the assassins attire simply reminded him of the terrorist group's attire that had once attack the kingdom of Avalon and endangered Sephiria's life. Due to that whenever he see such type of clothing, he couldn't help but release his murderous intent as if he readied himself to fight off such person to the death.that just how traumatic it is for Shun to witness sephiria almost dying from that incident.

Without any words to express, Shun dashed forward with his water spear as he blinked in front of the assassin and thrusted his spear forward. However even though caught in surprise, the assassin still reacted quickly from that surprising speed as he nearly blocked the attack with his dual knives, before blinking a few steps away and counter attacking by throwing in a dozen of daggers towards Shun.

But in face of this and with the fact that the system was updated upon absorbing a part of the Aquasphere's power for about 25% of his full capabilities, Shun would now be able to utilize 25% of his full capability with the system. Basically upon update, the system forego the leveling system that Shun had once gotten accustomed and had changed into powering up by forcing him to search throughout the land for keys to unlock his potential. He doesn't know what made such changes, but he was sure that which ever higher being that gave him the system had decided that his leveling track was too slow had had changed the way his systems works. From the looks of it someone or something is hurrying him up to become stronger before it is too late.

"Wind wall"

Creating a wall of wind to block all the projectiles coming his way, Shun then switched up his hold unto his spear into throwing position as he used another skill to chain his use of command.

"Comet spear (throw)"

This time he used pantheon's throwing skill as he throwed the water spear directly towards the assassin from afar. In response to this quick display of combo skills, the assassin instinctively pulled his head to the side just in time for him to dodge the spear and saved his head from getting blown to smithereens. However before the assassin could pull his wits together, Shun used another skill which literally surprised the assassin to move base on survival instincts alone.

"Shunpo!!! Savagery!!!"

Combining the use of Katarina's skill and Rengar, Shun then blinked behind the assassin as he grabbed the spear in mid air, before swinging it down towards its target using rengars skill. Upon witnessing this the assassin used his own skills as he pulled himself from safety.

"Eject!!!"

After getting away for a few feets, the assassin quickly pulled in different buffs to his body while preparing to use a skills to fend himself from his attacker.

"Speed of legaton!!! Muscles strengthening!!! Acute reaction!!! Maximum Agility!!!"

The moment this buffs came into its body, the assassin then stance himself for an attack as it pulled out two blades from his belt pocket and launched itself forward in incredible speed. Since this was a battle of speed due to how fast Shun was moving, the assassin naturally retaliated with an intent to fend off Shun with its expertise in speed battle.

"Quick strike!!!"

Faced with such an attack, Shun swung his spear upward as he parried the attack with brute strength, before pulling out a dagger from his space storage and used another one of Katarina's skill.

"Bouncing blade!!!"

Upon seeing that attack, the assassin quickly bent his back backward just in time to dodge the dagger, as he quickly kicked away Shun's throwing hand, before spinning himself mid air and injecting a spell towards his heel for a spin kick.

"Heel slice!!!"

However this attack was proved fruitless as Shun quickly ducked down upon having his hand kicked away, as he spun his whole body counter clockwise before swinging his spear and releasing a huge amount of the Aquasphere's mana to blow away the assassin.

Once the assassin was blown away after receiving a fatal strike, Shun then quickly caught up to the assassin before he crashed to the ends to the corridor, as he grabbed its head and smashed I directly to the wall,which caused the assassin himself to groan in pain and blood flow out from its injured head.

After that Shun pulled the assassins head off the wall, causing some tiny bits of its skin on its face to be ripped off, as he slams the assassins head unto the window of the corridor before activating the Aquasphere's mana on his water spear and used one of its embedded skill.

"Water thrust"

In just one destructive thrust the whole section of the corridor was blown away alerting many people who are awake in the mansion, as the assassin got blow  off the from the establishment itself through the rubble of the corridor. But despite all of its injuries, the assassin just simply won't back down no matter who its opponent is as it tried to retaliate against Shun himself.

"Cross slash!!!"

Unfortunately his retaliation proved useless as his attack was blocked by the Aquasphere's barrier towards its host, thus giving leeway for Shun to power up his attack once more towards the assassin in mid air.

"Water thrust!!!"

With one powerful thrust like a total wave of an attack, the assassin was blown off the air as he crashed down to the floor in the garden of the Duke's mansion, all sprawled out and blood flowing out of his wounds. With life less eyes the assassin that fought Shun breath his last as he failed to even be a significant opponent of Shun's caliber. In his last moment he finally realized why the nobles are worry of Shun stepping into nobility, he was just too strong to control and many more strong individuals are appearing from the commoners ranks. They were just afraid of his strength.

As the assassin died, Shun pulled out the spear from the assassins body, as he washed away the blood with the use of the spears water element, and tried to locate the other assassins in the mansion. For the first time, Shun had let his murderous intent take control of his reaction.
