*Jake's POV*

It was really difficult to drive a car but I had no other choice. I couldn’t waste any second. I had to get as much help as I could get. I’ve never asked for help from anyone, well that was until I met Ella. Once I realized that she was in danger I was ready to even beg on my knees, if that meant her safety. Now I can’t do anything to protect her but I am able to take revenge on her killer. For that I need to ask for help from my old enemy and person I think of as friend at the moment, Daniel Anderson. To be honest, I have no idea what Daniel’s reaction will be on my visit but I’ll find out in a few minutes.

Whole road I was thinking about Joseph. What did he want from me? If he needed me, why did he kill Ella? Did he think that after everything he did to me, I would simply fulfill his every task? And he almost killed me too, even though he told Ella that he needed me. Something big was missing. Important piece of this puzzle. But whatever it was I would find it. I would find out everything about him, even details he didn’t know himself.

I parked the car nearby Daniel’s house. I put on my hood and left the car. As soon as I was out, I felt really dizzy. I almost fell down but thankfully I stopped myself. I stood there for a few seconds and when the dizziness faded away, I went towards the house. I was thinking about what I could say to him to not scare him. It definitely is scary, seeing a person you thought was dead. But then again we were talking about Daniel. It’s not that easy to scare him.

I slowly approached Daniel’s front door. I hesitated if I should knock or just go back. After an inner battle with myself I knocked on the door.

-         I’m coming, Lilly! - Was heard from the inside. Little did he know…

It was getting harder to stand. I felt that I was losing balance. I tried to steady myself but it wasn’t working. My head was about to explode and I had no power whatsoever. I closed my eyes and was about to fall when I felt someone catch me.

-         Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let’s get you to the couch.

I nodded and tried to walk but without Daniel’s help I wouldn’t be able to do it. He helped me sit on the couch and got water for me. I thanked him and drank it.

-         Are you feeling better?

-         Yes, thank you.

-         You better tell me how you’re here right now, or I still think I’m talking to your ghost.

-         That’s a long story.

-         Oh, so you don’t want to tell me how you were dead for 2 weeks and then magically appeared on my door, about to die again. Even though your gravestone is already made, I don’t want you to use it this soon.

-         Very funny. – I rolled my eyes.

-         Jake… Is… Um…

-         No… Only I survived.

-         Oh…

-         Listen Dan, I need your help. It was Joseph… Joseph… he…

-         I know Jake and I’m really sorry for Ella.

-         Thank you.

-         What happened to you?

-         I’ve been unconscious for 2 weeks. I just woke up this morning and found out about Ella. Then I saw that it was Joseph’s man who did it and right now my only goal is to take revenge on Joseph. That’s why I came to you. I need your help in this.

-         I will help you, Jake. Ella was like a sister to me.

-         Thank you.

-         Now tell me, have you eaten anything?
