The day of Mia's first open class as a teacher came.
I hope someone will come.
She smiled to herself on the way to school, dancing clothes in her bag. An hour or so before the class started, Mia changed into her dancing clothes. Patterned leggings and a low top with a knot in front made her feel more herself. The attire brought her back, grounding herself in the reality of pure sensations. Her clothes hugging her skin comforted her troubled mind.
She wanted to be relaxed enough to dazzle her upcoming students and the gorgeous dancer knew the reddish blush of exercise would make her look cuter, accentuating the cute freckles around her nose.
Dimmed lights covered her as she prepared music from the laptop. Getting it together, she danced her stage fright away. After she felt warmed up enough, Mia dried herself with a towel and waited a bit nervously, drinking her water.
I want to change someone's life.
Maybe there will be one person, who will start to dance with new purpose.
Or perhaps find meaning in their life, like me. Oh, that would be great.
She glanced at her phone, it was five minutes till the class started. The door opened slowly as the new students-to-be came inside. Five people; three girls from their uni and two boys from somewhere else.
That's a success!
"Hi, I'm Mia. Let's start this class! You can get changed there." She directed them to two changing rooms.
Happy, Mia made her rounds, giving out smiles, talking with everyone, learning their names, and places of study. Making the desirable connections.
Heavy beats of music resonated throughout the school. The class was held on the first floor, where the normal dance practice was held during the day. Mia knew she could put the music even louder, at this hour only the busiest of students were present and they generally kept to themselves, hiding behind headphones and their own loud music.
